The jw's will never ever recant this policy on blood, too many people have died to date, to make any changes at this state of the game. They know any changes could and would fracture their power base to crumbles. Don't ever expect new light to appear on this subject matter because it never will. Someone's child is going to die, someone's mother, someone's father and all humanity will cry because of it, all for the sick and perverse reason for men wanting power, what a slap in face to humanity !

BIG ELDERS MEETING ON THE BLOOD ISSUE! SHOCKING CHANGES AFOOT!?
by Gill ini have just been informed that something is going in with the blood issue within the borg.. a large meeting is being held this weekend with local elders and also many elders from all over the country/the united kingdom and members from the bethel and hospital liason committee to discuss the blood issue.. is anyone else aware of what this is going to be about?.
i wondered whether this would be part of the expected or possible changes that the organization is expected to announce this year that might lose them many members.
any elders here know anything?.

Using the Gold Mine
by Gregor inthe archives of posts on jwd represents a gold mine of information, personal experiences and intelligent discussions.
i think it would be of real benefit, especially to those who cautiously peek in on the site (aka, lurkers), to be able to select from an index of subject matter.
there would be a subject reference address for the beginning of those threads that discussed the subject and include some special posts that were of particular quality in the realm of the jwd site.

by the way Greg the link you posted doesn't work, at least for me
Here's another posting I did today regarding the inter-net and the jw's, I'll leave it here so you can have a read ....
The biggest threat right now for the WTS. has to be the information highway which we call the inter-net. Any one that has done a google search on jw's right now can see a
ton of web sites with information regarding the jw's. They have to be screening these sites because recently they have had their legal department threaten individuals with law suits.
Since they have the lawers and the money backing them, the people comply and shut down their web sites. Obviously then they see the information threating to their creditability and a
weakening efect to their power base. It's an unusual situation for them now because in the past if anyone had obtained any information that was detrimental there would have been little means to spread it around or they could be at least DF to shut off the tap as it were. Of course they can't shut off the inter-net and the information about them and this is getting to be very unsettling for them. Their recent tract stating that all false religions are about to colapse has got me wondering if this wasn't an emotional kickback form stuff on the web ? Maybe.......
They call it theocratic warfare, but in this case it's war for the truth against the supposable truth.
But don't think these people at headquarters are going to walk away from this power that easily though remember it's a gobal corperation with a billion dollars in assets.
I do see a weakening in the force in the coming years especially in the north america region with public awareness as it is, will have to wait and see what happens.
My 2 cents..............

Yes, I would have to agree with you Greg, this was something that I have thought was missing too. I think there should be some kind of a protection warning headlined somewhere on the
main page where new visitors can see and direct their eyes to. I would asume when people are just getting interested in the jw's their going to google jw's at home and walla guess
what web site pops up first, proably this one and some others. We could make a big and clear picture of what the WTS. is about in a more direct way and be more effective.

JW Membership will Self Destruct in...5...4...3...2...
by LovesDubs inthink about it...if only the kids of baptized members are getting baptized all we have to do is sit back and wait and the organization will cease to exist on its own!
the numbers of "young ones" splitting from the cult and never looking back are greatly increasing so you can count out their offspring ever becoming members.
the ones that stay and stick and are loyal wont be "having children in this time of the end" very much...and the chances of those offsprings offspring sticking are remote as well.. so...if you deprive a fire of oxygen.

It is estimated that one hundred jw's die every year around the globe for the simply reason of not taking an transfusion, an awful shame in a human sence.
Does it not seem scripturally correct to heal somebody when they are sick, Jesus did it when he came upon a sick person.
The bible says to respect life as if it was your own and Jesus's greatest commandment above all was to love one another !
Walk in his foot steps if you are to please god and so on..........
I hardly think by taking in blood from another person in an effort to heal them would be displeasing to god in a biblical sense, you can still respect the
sacredness of blood in it's meaning and give blood to heal and at the same time keep true to biblical guidlines.
The abstaining law was handed out to the people then at a time when the religious leaders thought the people were disrespecting the use of it.
Perhaps they were drinking it, and there is writen history to support that, perhaps they were dying their cloths with it or even painting with it who knows,
but given the human social mindset at that particular time of human history one can only imagine.
The WTS will never change their policy on blood transfusions and I mean never. All jw's know by now that many of their chosen flock have perished due to not taking a transfusion.
If this was to change abruptly the damaging effect would be too weakening to their power structure and they certaintly wouldn't take a chance at that.
Their fraction policy is nothing more than hypocritical bullshit !

Why did we failed to see the rather obvious signs?
by greendawn inwhen we decided to accept the jws something drew us to them perhaps the belief that they had the truth and they could provide a refuge from the so called armageddon.
or it could be the need to belong somewhere or to associate with (ostensibly) spiritual people as was the case with me.
but why (unlike many other interested persons) did we miss the many rather obvious signs that there was something fundmentally wrong with this organisation so as to save ourselves a lot of trouble in the future when deciding to leave it?

A little story I'd like to relay - back some 30 yrs. ago at the K H that I was attending after the meeting I noticed that a fellow and his wife had just returned back from Bethel.
Well we started to chat about his experiences there and during the end of the conversation he said something weird like, "aw it's just a publishing house don't take it to seriously"
I remember thinking to myself what a very strange thing to say. I was about 16 or 17 at the time and I had been a jw since birth, so this was the weirdness thing I ever heard.
Shortly after that event the fellow and his wife disappeared and I was never to see them again. They were both highly respectably witnesses in the KH he was an elder and she was
a pioneer. So it just goes to show that the perception of what you first believe can certainly change once you go directly to the source.........

Why Can You See Through the Watchtower While Others Cannot?

compared with the six million jehovahs witnesses worldwide the .
so-called apostates are comparatively much smaller.

The truth and honesty that you recently found should give you personal confidence, live off that confidence and you will become a better person.
You will become a better person than any jehovah wittness can ever think of becoming ...........but also realize that freeing yourself from religion is a new responsibilty on you
it's a journey of self improvement
all the best..........

Over time if the person stays with the organization he or she too goes through the mental manipulation in that everything that is said and written by the WTS. is the honest and the undeniable truth of all that is happening on the earth today and yesterday. So therefore they demand all followers or slaves as they are called to kneel and succumb to their power with unquestionable devotion.
It is common knowledge that where there is power and control and maybe even money that men will strive toward that attainable goal for the betterment of themselves. If for example you were to do a background study on the people that started this religion like C. T. Russell and big judge Rutherford. You would clearly see that these men were great power seekers to the extreme. But they obtained that power from false pretences and conjecture.
The king keeps control of his slaves and the power that he has obtained, by the virtue of information given.
Unfortunately many of the stated doctrines and ideas were devised primarily and structured on increasing the circulation of the magazines and whatever else they were selling and yes they did have profits in mind.
Now in the kingdom halls there is a state of fear that is established between the elders, ministerial servants and congregation overseers, the eyes are upon you so to speak at all times to make sure everyone falls in line, all in the disguise that this is God's will and purpose which it is obviously not.
Unfortunately the reason why it takes so many Jehovah's Witnesses so long to wake up and realize that this is not God's organization and that they have perjured the truth is because the Jehovah's Witnesses are not allowed to question, analyze or debate any policies or instructions from headquarters. There is a mental mindset that when you walk into the Kingdom hall doors you leave any self observational thinking at the door or at least it's very frowned on. Remember too that at the book studies and watchtower studies the questions on the material is given by them they tell you what to think and how to think about their written material. This in essence is mind manipulation and control its not too hard to understand that.
So it kind of seems that the WTS. really started a psychosis of fear to the public by using world events and the imminent Armageddon in a venture to power themselves and power they certainly did receive. Having said that I can honestly say that I've gained some things from the organization perhaps some communication skills and some knowledge of other religions to my benefit and I did meet some very good people there, but I’m glad I’m out and probably will never return.
All the best .....
