  i was in the truth all my life, i pioneered and was deeply involved.

  Over the decades from Russell's and Rutherford's time much more archaeological evidence has been discovered

  in way of ancient tablets discovered on the site of ancient Babylon.

  These discoveries further confirm that ancient Jerusalem was destroyed in 586 BCE. and that Nebuchadnezzar didn't even

  take to throne of Babylon until 605 BCE.

  Will the WTS. ever admit to this mistake in calculating the 1914 date though, I would assume not for to do so

  would reveal the fallibility of this organization's proclamations.

  The organizations proclamation that they are only the true religion stymies making adjustments

  and adjustments would hurt this outward image that they've constructed for themselves.

  charles taze russell: his life and times: the man, the millennium and the message by fredrick zydek is the latest biography on pastor russell, and i must say i am very impressed.

  i have read other historiees on the pastor russell by zydek (all unpublished manuscripts) but this one is far better than the last one authored by charles redeker aq few years ago.

  zydek is a catholic.. the author is neither a bible student or a jehovah's witness.

  Charles Taze Russell was a self anointed messenger of imaginative nonsense who in a endeavor to support his publishing company ,

  exploited the belief in the bible, as well as the people that believed in his words.

  The fact is if the money and the printing presses were not intact and available for use by the people that followed him, the Jehovah's Witnesses

  would not be here to this day. In the exact way the WTS. today exploits just as well as he did one hundred years ago.

  with april's rediculous generation renewal, the hyped 2012, then the 100th aniversary of 1914 two years later, the continued increase and spread of internet use, the age of the gb, and the lackluster of the rank n file, i give it 8-10 years before the whole show collapses.. .

  Personal insecurity and ignorance is the WTS. Mana , so as long as that is around, the WTS will maintain itself.

  There is possibility of a teetering off in numbers in the more modern industrialized countries , but that's in reality only

  a quarter of the worlds population.

  As todays GB ages and passes on, there are hundreds of men who would like to seat themselves in this position of privilege,

  power and finical support, within the organization.

  This in mind the Watchtower wheels will just keep rolling along indefinitely.

  i realize whether you believe in god or the non-existence of god it has to be taken on faith since both positions are unknowable and unprovable.

  however, i can understand faith in god as basically a hope for something better.

  i can also understand agnosticism; admitting it's unknowable but still leaving the door open (perhaps the only intellectually honest option).

  And you wonder why JWS teens as young as 16, 17 end up getting married and not ready for the responsibilities of that

  adult union. Guilty on masturbation and guilt ridden on premarital sex. Which most of these marriages usually end up in divorce.
