robert pevy, who joined the editorial dept (formerly writing comm) some decades ago, and was chief writer of the infamous "revelation, its grand climax" book, has died.. apparently his grand opus was edited, because lloyd barry "did not like some of the explanations".
what i wonder is, were pevy's explanations more looney than what went in to the final draft?

The rain situation should only be a problem at Cypress Mountain where there are only 2 events happening there.
There were a lot of us long time Vancouverites who questioned that decision to use that mountain since
it's been known to have poor winter conditions for skiing, unusually once every 10 years or so.

I liked the opening ceremonies, seemed to be done quite well.
No it wasn't the big spectacular of the past summer Olympics, but for an indoor event with
just a 60,000 seating capacity, it was pretty good.

This situation though has to be seen out of the unusual norm
being that the track has been there for almost 2 years now
and there have maybe been hundreds of runs taken on it.
Personally I would be a little set off going on a run that had just killed
someone.
As its known, you have hardly any control of your luge at these kinds of speeds
and this particular luge track is said to be the fastest in the world at the moment.
