Why do you believe that they have to change it Terry ?
They have the potential of losing much if they do.

so in an argument we get to the point that the wts has problems.
so what, says her, if you got a meter (or yardstick if you prefer) and one centimeter is missing, are you going to throw it all away?
the same, if from the truth are missing only some pieces, is it not the truth?
Religion is yard stick of bullshit that measures itself against other religions.
Tell your wife that when the WTS proselytized that 1975 would bring about Armageddon that was
a teaching from false religion, along with all the other false witnessing that the WTS has done.
After that tell her that this just convoluted bullshit to help the circulation of literature published by the
WTS. Then ask her, do you really think that god would be behind and support these men
and their actions.

It just goes to show how God can be made into a exploitive and marketable commodity.
i am sort of digging the olympics.
plus, i used to live in a state that really should be annexed by canada anyway, michigan.
but i love hockey, autumn, maple syrup, and cold weather.
Its true that if you are prepared to move to Canada the immigration department makes it easer if you bring in some money to
establish a business and add to the economy. The easiest way though would to find a company that wants to hire you
and then that company acts like a sponsorship for you, you first apply for a working visa which isn't difficult and your on your way.
Over a period of time of working here you become eligible to apply for Canadian citizenship and there you are.
Being that the US economy is not doing so well right now , I foresee allot of Americans moving up here seeking prosperity and a better way of life..

Hi Jeff ,
Did anyone mention that Canadians on average live 3 years longer than Americans .
Best thing to do Jeff is come up to Vancouver for a visit preferably in the summer
and get a feel of what its like here. The winters here aren't too harsh, for example its
55 degrees Fahrenheit today , clear skies, not a speck of snow unless your up in the mountains.
One other poster quired me on visiting here and this was my reply.
I'm pretty sure you will need a passport, although I'm not certain on that since
both Canada and the States have been changing their cross boarder regulations as of recent.
Best thing to do would be to check that out beforehand.
If you do plan on coming up here a would suggest renting a car for the duration of your stay.
This would enable you to travel about easier and you could go to places like the Whistler resort
and get on a ferry to go over to Vancouver Island and visit the Provence's capital Victoria.
A two week visit would most likely be the best to see the sites and not make it too rushed.
Weather wise July, August and September are the best months to visit the area. Spring time is
a bit of a gamble because we get a lot of rain during those months.
Yes Vancouver is a pretty cool place to visit there's lots to see and there is plenty of beautiful scenery to take in.

Good work Terry for putting those quotes up in the forum, it just might open a view eyes on passing lurkers.
It just goes to show how far a group or an individual can go once they proclaim that they solely are the true representatives of
god's holy spirit. The WTS shows and exposes their own true aggressive ignorance and corruption.
Their vile self arrogance and provocation really gets exposed when they state that a true and faithful servant of god should never
associate with an organization that is guilty of bloodgult procured against another person.
Hypocrisy personified !
Once a person or group of people state that they have been selectively chosen by god, assuringly and confidently trouble will follow.

1. belief in a supreme being and the prohibition ofworshipping any other beings.. .

The best way out of it for them is to make the taking of blood transfusions a conscience matter. Will they ever do that? I hope so.
The chances for that to happen are all but slim, since the inception of this doctrine there have been thousands of people that have
died who were devout JWS, to reverse this now would only open the door to too many problems, one being of course that the
proclamation by the WTS. that its the only organization chosen and guided by god's spirit would fracture apart, causing all
kinds of problems within the body of members. Secondly this would set up all sorts of legal liability issues that the organization
would surely have to face in the courts, since there have been many law suits brought to the courts in the past, there would be many
people who would try and sue the organization for personal damages for losing loved ones such as family members.
Frankly I think if the organization were to to reverse the blood policy now it would essential be the final death throw on this organization,
the body of JWS that have been associated with it for decades know very well of how many of their flock have died
because of this certain policy. Religious organizations like this operate on creating belief in the organization itself, therefore change
and reversion of doctrines is very problematic to pursue.
The legal department of the WTS operates in a very invisible way, it is though absolutely a part of the working direction and operation of this
religion, an unrealized acknowledgment by its devout members.
if you are one of the posters on here who has got to the point where you do not believe in god to any great extent, do you miss "him".
i find that i rarely used to ask god for anything, or load him up with my problems, everybody elses were far more urgent, but i did used to feel moved to praise him when i saw the beauties of creation, a sunset etc.. i now feel an urge to still do that, but do not believe anyone is listening, do you get moments like that ?.
love.
When I first left the JWS after being born into the faith, I still did think I could connect to god through other faiths, unfortunately
I was unsuccessful.
Eventually I realized that spiritualism was derived out manifestations out of human ignorance, thats a factual reality that doesn't need a belief.
could be just a whim, but highdoses feet are feeling itchy today.
i'm young, unattached was thinking about upping sticks again maybe.. .
can i get any recomendations from anyone?.
Vancouver British Columbia .. My home town
the elders stopped by today.
they spoke of a new arrangement where the org is asking everyone to come back regardless of their sins.
they just want them to come back with impunity.
Anything can come out of an elders mouth, just because one elder implies something doesn't mean
its come down from headquarters. ( Brooklyn )
Maybe that there so much revealing information about this corrupt cult, they may be nervously wanting to regain their
power and strength over past members.
I know of some areas that attendance is down and some congregations have actualy merged together because of it.
