Oh no doubt the guns would come out Twitch.
But if the authorities did was take away people's bibles or whatever religious document they had, would they break their own
set moral code of not to kill their fellow man ?
Most likely I would say yes.
apologies if this has been posted before or even discussed.. this ted talk gets at the heart of what atheism is missing and my wife an di discussed this for a long time last night.
in short religion provides a framework for meeting, for ritual, for art, education and sociality.
without this framework atheism can seem lonely harsh and certainly disorganised (the general idea that education and culture can replace the gap may well be true but without a formal structure the route to personal mental fulfillment is somewhat piecemeal and patchwork.

So if we don't have religion or the guiding moral structure of religion, would mankind turn directly into destructive anarchy ?
What would happen to mankind if all religions right now were to be dismantled and ban altogether ?
for my birthday, my daughter (who works for apple) got me an iphone.. yes, i was using an old motorola flip-phone until now...like a geriatric captain kirk.. and i wondered why people had been giving me those strange looks before.... .
anyway, imagine my reaction to the mammoth technology contained in an iphone.. talk about a miracle, this qualifies.. i'm particularly impressed by the onboard gps.
i can type in a destination and the phone already knows exactly where i am and will plot a destination map onscreen.
Yes these phones are really becoming works of technological marvel.
Terry, If you think that your going to use the phone for a lot GPS address locating you might want to look at downloading
an App. as I mentioned previously.
You can also get a charging devise that plugs into your cigarette lighter that will charge the phone while you drive and while the phone
is sitting in its own holding cradle.

N drew you said ...
I did not contact a spirit and ask it. I spirit contacted me and told me.
I was just simply seeking verification to your statement.
There's been a lot of people in the world who've said they were contacted by spirits and equally there have been various things these
apparent spirits have told people, things which actually oppose one another.
I'm not intensionally trying to put you down N drew, just trying to encourage people to think a bit more about what their thinking about or say.

The moral of the story here is no one should be so presumptuousness to lie in trying to support their beliefs.
It is disingenuous and disrespectfully arrogant to the listener to whom you speak/preach.
( A spirit told me )
i just want to know out of interest how many here still believe in god and christ and that the bible is god's word.
my faith in the wts is gone but i still love god and his son.
i've noticed that many here have lost their faith in god as well as the wts.
How are you so certain that your not the weed and they are the wheat ?
Are people who lie of the wheat or are they of the weed that god will destroy one day ?

N.Drew wants and expects people that have not grow from her god (seed) to perish though.
and soon I might add.

Just evaluating your intellectually honesty and integrity thats all.
I've come to a evaluative conclusion in this regard, hopefully others will as well upon reading your comments.
In any case the day is short and I don't have time to play catch a liar by the tail.

Oh so you didn't get in contact with a spirit and get information from that spirit.
So will you now honestly retract your previous claim that a spirit contacted you and told you things ?
You read this bit of information all along in a book written by bronze age tribesmen who live 3000 years ago.
I've got to hand it to you N drew your quite the artful dodger.
Knowing plus ignorance = experience in ignorance

I guess that comes from Christianity teaching ‘them’ (goats) versus ‘us’ (sheep).
True Xchange Theists are so hateful and prejudice in their relationship with their spirit connections
