My Life as a 'Famous' Jehovah's Witness

just let me start out by saying i am unable to give certain details of my life as i have learned very quickly this can cause a lot of problems.

i was born into the 'truth' as my mother had been studying with a few sisters on and off at a local congregation.

my father was never a jw and came in and out of my life for many years..to this day i do not give him much time.

Well....Welcome back...I am glad you are here!

I have a question regarding what it is like to grow up as a "famous" witness. It seems like the famous people we know of (that claim to be a JW, but are living a life in the spot light and doing things good JW's wouldn't do) get away with lots of things without being DF'd. (Like Prince and the Williams sisters)

Did you find that the congregation gave you le-way because of your fame...and possibly power to discredit the JW's if they did mistreat you?

When I first signed up to myspace...I didn't know how to do anything on there...and the way it has you sign up...it will show your b-day sign, but automatically says "single"

...My hubby was like "WTH" when he saw mine......soooooo, THAT could be a mistake if he's not savvy....Just FYI

A new man in my life

my partner introduced me to a new man and since i met him i have slept with him every night.

hes very jealous and posessive and doesnt really like me to be out of his sight.

he has had me hard at it all night long and hes definately a boob man.. my partner has been relegated to changing his nappy and the odd cuddle when hes asleep.. here are some photos:.

About "dawg" and growth...

i only checked in here briefley yesterday and missed dawg's "good-by" thread.

i posted there just now, but don't know if he is checking in any longer.. many of you realize he and i have had our differences.

in fact, is was after a "cyber-fight" with me that he left the last time.. when he returned, he pm'd me several times just making nice, brief little comments on things i'd post.

I think this board has been very argumentative lately. Can't we all take kind words at face value?

No natural affection

i find it strange that the witnesses often rant about natural affection.

but the thing is, when people are disfellowshipped, in most cases the persons family cut off any contact with them, they stray to the other side of the road when they see them etc.

now, this must mean that a witness family only loves you for your behaviour not for who you are.

I totally agree with you. For parents to GIVE UP their own children and grandchildren is SO unatural...I can't really think of many things that top it for "unatural".

PS...what a weird word "natural" is when you say it and spell it a few times!LOL!

many of you will be happy to hear that this is my departure from this forum for awhile... i need to wean myself off it, get in shape and record my album... i'll post a link when it comes out.

that said, merry christmas and happy new year to you all.

i've had fun here on this site, almost all of you to a person are intelligent and well meaning.... i remember as a youth, i was a hard core jw, mostly becasue i thought i was doing what was right; as time went on and things didn't add up, i started doing as the bible tells me to do in 1 thess.

Chaperones?

how many of you courted as jws?

did you have chaperones?

if so, do you adhere to that rule all of the time?

I courted as a JW....from the age of 17-barely 19 (Then I was married) We either had chaperon's or if we were able to ride somewhere together we would call the people we were meeting, then call as we were leaving so all of our time could be accounted for. It really helped us to avoid getting to know eachother!
