  Help get this JW off my back!

  i was wondering if anyone wanted to come to my defense on this jw discussion board at http://www.beliefnet.org this jw that post as "rosemaybud" is driving me crazy and i am tired of trying to get her off my back.

  she never post about anything much, except to make hateful remarks to me or about me.

  i post as "loveofwaterlilies".

  I'm sorry, I just can't read over there anymore.

  These pro-Watchtower and, by their behavior, pro-pedophiles, make Jehovah's Witnesses look bad. Then shut up.

  As another poster there pointed out, one Jehovah's Witness family was hurt by the actions of another Jehovah's Witness. Both families are Witnesses, and even Beliz's family are victims/survivors too.

  But how many JW's have expressed synpathy and sadness for all the victims (of both families). For eveyone's information, Mrs. Beliz did not testify on behalf of her husband during the second trial. This whole thing must have been awful for her and their son and daughter.

  And how many Jehovah's Witnesses have fired off letters to the Belizes and the Garza's? They are ALL Jehovah's Witnesses in good standing in their congregations.

  The deafening silence speaks for itself.

  Verily and Truly, the best and brightest are loooooong gone from this publishing company.

  The last I heard was 13 Witnesses, and one disfellowshiped woman. It was announced at my Hall, dunno if it was ever in print. It might be in a letter to the congregation.

  how often do you post here?.

  let me tell you about my posting habits to get the ball rolling.. i never post during the morning (equivalant to midnight-3am in america), purely because i a) have to get to work, busy busy, and b) i am not terribly lucid before my 3rd cup of coffee .

  i thought it might be relevant now as jw's are defending their position on child abuse as being ok. it all boils down to the five questions.

  if the typical jw can answer the five questions truthfully then they are forced to admit there is a problem.

  You just contradicted yourself, you idiot!!!!

  Elders aren't qualified to do anything, so they should just keep their mouths shut.

  I don't care and I have never cared, whether elders say anything to anybody. The fact of the matter is, we have reporting laws, we have Megan's law, we have all kinds of things. If the elders would just STAY THE F**OUT OF THINGS, JEHOVHAH'S WITNESSES are perfectly capable of solving hteir OWN PROBLEMS.

  Somebody WILL find out there is a molester in their midst, they WILL tell other people, and the situation will resolve itself..IF THE G0**AMN elders will just shut up and go the *** AWAY.

  I don't recall EVER advocating that elders should do anything above and beyond the law. What I advocate, is 1) allowing the law to be followed among their adherents. TAKE that bastard to court, TELL people what you know, PUT your children first before an accused pedophile's reputation <gag> <choke>. JW's can do this EASIER if the elders SHUT THE F**K up and STAY OUT OF THE WAY.

  1) Maybe most churches won't inform their congregations if a child molester moves into their congregation....HOW DO YOU KNOW THIS

  2) Would they expell/shun anyone that did.

  You just will not admit, concede, or even address here on this board the simple fact that ELDERS ARE NOT QUALIFIED TO DEAL WITH ANY OF THESE ISSUES.

  Elders are not qualified to decide if some one is a molester or not.

  Edlers are not qualified to decide if an accuser is telling the truth or not.

  And the bottom line is, THE ELDER ARRANGEMENT DOES NOT WORK. That's too much power and too little accountability.

  So maybe we can all agree on this:

  To the 77,000 elders in the United States:SHUT YOUR GO**AMN MOUTHS. You don't have the training, the experience, nor the RIGHT to judge me, or a pedophile, or a survivor. Bill Bowen's elders, and the several sets of elders IIII have had to deal with...F**K yourselves.

  Who needs these ass**oles. I hate to tell you this, elder a**holes, but the human race did mange to survive WITHOUT YOU for thosuands of years. Th eelder arrangement has left a trail of bodies for a hundred years .....

  question on anullment

  i've been getting allot of email of late from ex's and current jw's.. i am glad to say almost everyone is waking up to whats really going on inside da "borg".. .

  i got this email recently, and after an "ok" by the sender to post it, they want to "anull" their jw baptism.

  i never heard of such a thing.

  The only thing I can think of is for people to start DOING it. Send Watchtower a letter, make a public announcement in a newspaper, and go from there.

  I would use fraud as a reason, or that I was a minor. I was 16, but not a mature 16. I didn't even know what a judicial committee was, I was told you only get disfellowshiped for 'serious offenses' and if you are 'unrepentant' and so on. But you can see from Watchtower history going back to Olin Moyle and William Schnell that this is not the case.

  And then there were the lies. "Jehovah's Witnesses were the only ones that predicted 1914 would be a special year". Liars!!! They said 1914 would be the end of the world, and when it didn't come, the backpedaled.

  When I was baptised, they also said to me that "Watchtower never said in print that the end would come in 1975." That was a lie. They said it in no uncertain terms, and when it didn't happen they backpedaled.

  A 16 year old in the 1970's doesn't think about researching to see if these things are true. In addition, Watchtower had conveniently left off providing the relevant books and bound volumes that expose their lies (Much of this is only coming out, watchtoers and awakes on cd's etc.)

  It may not hold up in court, but who cares. The occasional public announcenment in the paper would at least vaccinate the average newspaper reader that SOMETHING is going on. And that's really all that matters.

  in fact, anderson gave dateline a copy of this letter written in 1992 by a psycotherapist, a jehovah's witness himself, who said he'd treated many witnesses who'd told him they had been molested, and he had personally dealt with a number of elders who were more interested in suppressig a matter of abuse .

  gee, i guess you all aren't interested in my private life,and relationship problems, so... i wanted to post that i went out on service on d-day, the day after dateline day.

  many of you warned me not to go out, including her, especially, because she cared about me so much,.
