  Legality of WT in a Free Democracy?

  armed with all the facts, an overall grasp of the facts, a helicopter minds view of the entire situation, in an ideal free democracy, would the wt corporation be legal or illegal?

  based on their own theocratic warfare doctrine?

  what does this advocate?.

  An interesting thought , Celtic, and to expand on that point I would say that what the Watchtower needs is to be 'taken over' just like Rutherford did all those years ago. At the very least, with all the infighting, the Watchtower might let a few sexual indiscretions and blood transfusions slip by them, one could always hope anyway.

  Which could lead to some problems tho...

  1) The takeover would be illegal now. Would be great to try. All those dratted legal protections that the Watchtower keeps forgetting to say 'thank you' for. After all, say the Watchtower, the lawmakers that make them, the voters that vote for them, and the police and military that enforce these freedoms, are all going to die-die-die, remember. <sigh>

  2) In the past, each new 'changing' of the guard meant only fewer freedoms for all JW's, and especially for Women and Children. I don't expect this to be any different, although if 'something' happens I PRAY I will be pleasantly surprised.

  Which brings up another question that begs to be asked. If, as the Watchtower and Jehovah's Witnesses will say when told that they owe all these democratic freedoms to military and police,"Oh no, it's God Jehovah that is the reason we are protected, he uses the military and police to help us"; then explain why the preaching work is less effective and persecution is more plentiful in less democratic lands, where the police and military don't seem interested in the Watchtower's well being as such. I AM JEHOVAH--I -- I-- AM BIPOLAR !!

  in 1998 sixty minutes first told this story and on the third of this month sixty minutes ii aired a follow-up... .

  following world war ii, great britain was flush from victory but short on cash for social programs.

  they had a surplus of kidsoverflowing children's homes with kids put there by parents too poor (at the time) to care for them.

  The sad fact is, how different those people were compared to some Jehovah's Witnesses. I'm reading two books now, "Jehovah's Witnesses and the Nazi's" and "Facing the Lion", and I PROMISE to put reviews up about them as soon as I catch up on everything else.

  Some Jehovah's Witnesses seem to have thought it was wonderful for themselves and their families to suffer for 'Jehovah' and so they made little or no effort to get their children to safety even when they knew persecution was coming. And I can safely say that there was no concerted effort over here in the US on Rutherford's part to gather up these children and receive them to safety. The Watchtower's efforts these days seems to be 'just gimmee the money'.

  We shall see.

  why have you only negative things too say, wee all now that it is a lot of positive things too say abaout jw, the only religion who say no to war, and give there lifes for it too.. the bibel say one peopel who come out from all this mess, and stad for the name of the ord, who else do this?.

  noe here i can read, from a wery famus apostate, rw that it is okey to go out killing our brother,and as we all now many us menn have give there life for defenswar?

  as in wietnam , and son inn irak , on the sweed news today, son us attack irak.. wake upp peopel here, dont bee a part of these terribel things going on now, dont bee like kain who kild his brother.. jesus say love even you anemy.

  today's Kingdom Hall experience

  went to my grandfather's funeral service at the kingdom hall today.

  two or three minutes were spent on grandfather, and the rest on the bible, jehovah, how sin makes our bio cells degenerate, etc.

  etc.. fortunately, i'm well past the stage of anger at the witnesses for shoving their religious beliefs down my throat.

  part of my story.

  my mother had studied off and on even b4 i was born, due to a baptized aunt whom i enjoyed attending meetings with until she moved away...i was about 10 when she left.. i must have been about 5 (that's around the time i met my aunt also...u know she didn't associate with the worldly family) when i attended my first meeting with my mom and started having a regular bible study out of the 'listen to the great teacher'....once that was completed, i never had another personal study and since mom wasn't baptized or even an unbaptized publisher...we weren't regular regulars but we did go often enough and attend all the ca and dc...like i said earlier my mom studied off and on...so we had many off moments, which was fine by me and when she was on, she would have her studies while i was at school... hey, again that was fine by me (lol!).....

  i was in the 5th grade the last time mom was on and quite serious about it cause she started scheduling them at the time i got home(this went on for almost 2 years)...u should have seen my face that first day this unwelcomed surprise was sprung on me...not a happy one, fo sho...oh sure i thought many wednesdays (@ 3pm) about not going straight home...but my mama didn't play and although they were the longest 1 hour anythings i've ever had to endure (or so it seemed) i would rather sit through it comfortably, than in pain....u know somethings just ain't worth it...besides, the answers was in the book...not a biggie.
