i know a lot of this has already been hashed out before, but for my own personal mental health i feel compelled to post this stuff.

who knows maybe someone out there can use it towards their freedom.

You will be df'd (wrongly so) and the anouncement will just be that you were found to be an apostate!!! All the JWs that spy u coming will cross over for fear you will start "preaching" to them.

Amazing! They really should read out your letter and then give their response to it. They should not df you but should point out that of course you have the right to research and ask questions on such matters! In fact they should give the Societies response in a world wide talk explaining themselves and their relationship with the UN. They should hold their hands up and say "yep we are doomed, we've been found out and to be honest we have f**ked up big time..... really we have no foundation for our religion any more.... we are liars and have preached a lie to keep you poor bas***ds decieved - oops sorry em, perhaps you might like to help us form another cult.... anyone?"

Ha ha

Well if I was in the US I would pat you on the back give you a sisterly hug and yep I would feel proud to talk to you!!! XX

here is a grand opportunity to give the jw that knock on your door some apostate literature.

of course we wouldn't want to hand them hate literature - they won't read it.

they might read the wts own literature though.

My sis is still a JW, and so is my best friend.

Okay, so neither of them has offered me the tract.... or talked to me about it or the contents.

I am NOT df'd just fallen away. SO, how comes no one thinks I'm very important in this matter!!! Never felt important in the cult when I did go! But this is not very nice is it!! I ONLY know about the tract and its contents from this forum! AMAZING the end of the system is coming (again) and they will only tell a few! NICE.

My mum and my other little sister have been told about the tract and that my sister has one for them each - but not me my brother and our df'd sister!!!!

Well I miss it even less.

United Nations Library - The Forbiden Fruit? (kind of long)

i am in the process of writing a letter to my mothers sister (aunt) about the un/watchtower fiasco.

my aunt will not speak to my mother or father because they are d'fed (for the un/watchtower fiasco).

however, i guess she thinks that i am a weak link and she sent me a letter, basically, stating the same thing that all jw's say in defence of the watchtower.

When did they join and for what REAL reason. Are they still members? Did they advise the JW's that they had become members? If not who found this out and when?

If this is all on here.... anyone got the links.... I think my drifting dad may be very interested in this subject and may help me to help him OUT!!!!

How embarrassing it is to sit in a hall full of people whilst a speaker talks about this!!!! When you are growing up and all your friends are glancing around smirking to hide their embarrassment! I dreaded it!

As a parent now, I would not even dream of asking my kids what they are getting up to by themselves!!! omg. It's how you learn about your body and prepares you for adult hood.

I tell you what, they talk FAR too much about sex and sexual acts for my liking. Rather than the young ones just thinking it's normal and getting on with life.... most of this makes them think about it more and more.... which in turn makes them wonder what on earth they are missing. Then they can't stop thinking it and doing it!!!!

Most of the young people at the KH when I was growing up were all having sex with each other anyway.... just as they all are today. The parents probably keep on askin if theyre masterbating so they think if they confess that it is the less of the two evils and keeps everyones eyes off the fact they are all at it like rabbits!!!!

I joined this site the other day and haven't much been off since!! ha ha.

I had drifted away and never df'd... but I now live with my partner... so I guess if I wanted to go back, then I would be marked etc etc.

Anyway, not that I wanted to go back to the KH BUT in the back of my mind I always kept worrying and worrying about the end. I have rung my mum up this morning and I told her what RELIEF I have found! I am like my mum, I know she worrys about having drifted....and was wondering whether to return. I have told her to come over and take a look at what I have been looking at (here and other sites). I want her to stop feeling guilty and distressed - as I know she does. I want her to understand that it is ok not to belong to the watchtower society any more.

I spent an hour telling her some of my findings and she was dumb struck!!! I think she will be as shocked and upset as me .... more so, because she helped to bring us up as JW's and she already has big guilt because of that. She still has my sister in the cult and will not rock the boat or get df'd as she wouldn't be able to see her. The rest of us kids are out and my dad is floating in and out!! He know's it's not right but is too proud to say it - he would have to explain why he made our lives such misery!!! Bless him. I forgive him.

So, shocked first. Like finding out the best news in the world. I finally feel like I can walk head held high and not worry that I have condemed my children to death!!!! I am SO HAPPY there are people in the org that are "apostate" and able to help me. My whole thinking is taken up by this at the moment, and I want to speak to the elders, my sister and her husband and actually ask questions. I am biding my time. I want to get my sister out. I also want to be officially disfellowshipped now. I want them to publically announce it with me in the hall at the time. I will give a great big sigh of relief and have a massive smile on my face.... leaving some to wonder "how come she is soooo happy!!".

The bastards have marked me!

so, i'd been invited to a jw 'friends' house this evening, but before i went, i went out with some work mates, something i've been doing a bit more of recently.

i told him i'd be home about 7.30 and for him to phone me after that time when he wants me to come round, so i get back about that time, popped onto jwd, whilst awaiting my phone call, got nothing, so i phoned him up a few minutes ago, and he told me that he'd discussed it with the others, and since i've been going out with worldly people so much, they want me to stop that association before they let me start associating with them again!

i'm really fucking angry here now!

Their rules are not to associate with "worldly" people. Most "worldly" people, I found were at least NOT living double lives, and would treat me respectfully.

Are they clean living JW's? If yes, then firstly they should certainly of approached you and given you their brotherly love and support! How are you gonna want to keep going to their meetings if you aren't going to feel welcome?

Even when you have faded.... say you meet someone who you want a relationship with..... now if you want to sleep with them, you can be df'd... so somewhere along the line, they will not be able to speak to you again anyway. (from their rules).

You will loose them whatever unless you stay in.... and you don't want to!!!!

It's like a break up. It hurts. So, you will have to find support.... get some REAL freinds and keep online and you will get all the support you want and need I am sure.

I have only joined this site a couple of days ago... and have been reading EVERYTHING. Wanted to call up my best friend (still a JW) and tell her everything.... mmm risk loosing her forever! So, slowly, I will say small things to her. I was a baptised sister, so she will not be surprised me asking things.

Now, neither she, nor my remaining JW family OR any JW's have pushed through the door or given me a brochure!!!! I wanted to ask my friend when I would get my copy, but she would ask where I heard this from. I was hoping I would get a knock at the door.... but NO. I have only twice had a JW knock since I've lived here 3.5 yrs! I am in most of the time and so I would of thought I would. One time, I was in a rush and the guy mumbled something about the watchtower (didn't wanna be door knocking obviously) and I said oh I have family that are JW's so he said OK and went!!!! I did smile. I used to LOVE it when people said NO thanks cos then I could say OK and be off again! ha ha.

I want to see this brochure!!!! I demand they knock at my door!! ha ha

New special campaign....a few things that most don't see....

ok. we have that "special" campaign ahead.....i still don't know how i will avoid participating....my family is all excited and will put the pressure on.....i might get my 50 tracts and toss them somewhere......it will look suspicious that i finished after an hour and "placed" 50 pcs in a territory that is closed to jw.....anyway.

here a few thoughts that crossed my mind:.

everybody at my hall is all excited about this special tract and i can't get the nice conversations i usually have with a few going, because of the excitement.

Are they really? How do you know that? I am the most niavest person! Why would someone go to all the trouble to just be in it to spy? Have they got an axe to grind?

So, I can see there would be people in the organisation coming on here, not being happy, but staying due to family etc.... but can't see what other purpose there would be to go and become "high" up and come on here reporting back etc.

I was bought up a JW and left 10 yrs ago, some family won't talk to me - not cos I'm df'd but because I won't marry my partner and I won't return - I was baptised so they say that makes all the difference! But I cannot see me going to the hall just to report back? I would feel sick walking in to a KH again!

well, in nearly forty years of being a dub, i've read some bs but some of it really takes the biscuit.. take for example the watchtower of november 15th 2006!.

I have a friend who is a publisher. She is my best friend. She can do no wrong in my eyes. She has had a rough time in her life, and she has committed fornication 3 times.... well not just three times only.... three times she had relationships with guys and slept with them over a short period of time. When she felt sufficiently guilty (because of the religion) she would pack em in and go to the elders. She has NEVER been df'd!

I would never try to convince her not to go because she has many friends there and I think it keeps her going (not the religion but the social side!).

Poor her... she has been abandoned by her husband and craves to be with a man.... she has fallen for someone ( a MS... !!) and he "plays" with her emotions. She has told him how she feels and yet he flirts and upsets her! She gets soooo frustrated. The Elders have told her that although abadoned (4.5 yrs now!) by her husband... she is free to divorce him (if only that simple) but she may never re marry!!!! FFS she is a 37 yr old beautiful woman who has needs and wants to be loved. They will tell her to wait for the GT and she will be rewarded!!!!

Oh, and in her reproval meetings they wanted to know EVERYTHING she had done. Oh "I slept with someone over the last month or two" was not good enough! It was "When, where, how many times. Did you have oral sex" FFS they are complete perverts! probably fantasising about what my freind might be "up for" so they can "think" about it later!

I have been PR'd a long time ago.... and let me tell you it was the worst thing ever.... again I was asked too many personal questions - which I told them!!!! ha ha. Cos I was shitting myself. My best friend was NOT allowed to come in with me and hold my hand.

Rubbish. Mind controlling.

Okay, so I was made to go to the meetings and I was also made to get baptised. I was NOT very studius (by nature) and as I didn't wanna be in the hall anyway, I didn't take much notice. I have read the whole of this thread and it has blown my mind.

Am I understanding from all of this that (sorry I am trying to get to grips with it all - simply) the 144,000 members of the GC who we all thought would die and then armageddon would come... now all probably dead. So the GB have changed their story. Do the GC not all partake in the bread and wine at the memorial.... so if no one is partaking - then they are all dead! they must keep numbers! (sorry, I need all this in simple terms).

Okay so if they have now changed their minds about this..... then what is the new teaching? And, if they can interpret the Bible as saying x, y, and z one day and then a, b, c the next..... well (as I said I am not the worlds greatest philosopher) even I can see that I would be worrying about what I was in!!!!!

I mean, I still have that scripture in my mind (drummed in) about the end of this system of things, where men would be lovers of money rather than lovers of god...... blah blah... you all know it so fill in the gap. It goes around my head and still makes me worry!!!! It does all sound like today to be honest... and I'm NO historian either (believe it or not).... so where some of you say this is the most peacefull the earth has been, I would like to know more.

Btw.... and thanx for humoring me here... the article of the watchtower with all the people on the front - what are they saying about these people inside the watchtower?
