Well, his field service should be up in a min.... go to someones (maybe his) house for a cuppa and a chat about how sad all the worldly people make them feel. Then moan about their depressed mums, sisters etc... how much prosac they take now. Who is the latest to have candida. Which brother is not working now due to his M.E..... but look how he makes in on the service, mind you it's nearly all return visits! Then he sneaks off to fit in a bit of work on the "side" so he can still get his benefit check! After the moaning over, he'll rush in to see all our replies!!!!! Bet he can't wait! So, my guess is he'll log on about 11.45 - 12.00!!! Internet is NOT the place you should be going is it.... how's that consence of yours..... still gonna read on and on tho aren't you!

Oh and it's Thursday little boy - don't forget to study (or at least underline a few lines so it looks like you did) for tonights meeting. Take a look around tonight at those eyes burning in the back of your head.... are some of your "friends" members here too? Is the elder at the front?

celebrating christmas

i left the dubs about 10 yrs ago.... but didn't celebrate xmas until about 7yrs ago.

even then i didn't get a tree... just kept it simple.. do it all now!

love it.. even if it's not christs birthday..... who cares?????

When I grew up, we were made to go on field service on 25th!!!! NO getting out of it!

Well, I've got my family coming for the first time this year. My sis and her b/friend and kids, my niece, my fallen away mum and my on the fence dad!!!! -- now my dad too..... cos thats amazing! I just said he can leave out singing carols! but too it's his birthday that day!!!! wooooohooo he is gonna get pressies - give him a massive drink, as he drinks like a fish! mmm.

And of course, like I said in another thread, I'm gonna make a paper mache star out of my tract for the top of the xmas tree!!!

How about you lot.... do you enjoy the day now?

Exciting New Use For Tract

i came home from work yesterday and lo and behold, a faithfull servant of jah had dropped off the new tract!!

i devoured the exciting words of death and destruction.

i especially liked the second picture of the nasty harlot getting eaten.

WHEN I get one - when they actually DO field service in this area .... lol... I am gonna use it to make a great big deco for my xmas tree!! Of course we will have to sqidge it into paper mashe first as I wouldn't want to scare the kids!! Then mold into a star for the top..... sprinkled with glitter. I will look at it every day and smile. Oh dontcha LOVE Christmas!!!!! I'm all excited now.......

Welcome to you too! Well, I haven't been on here for a long time, but after reading your post I just wanna give you a big ((hug))!!

How about asking your mum why she feels she can associate with your sis and not you firstly. Cos until you actually ask you won't know why she feels this is okay.

If she wants to go by the orgs PROPER way of thinking then it should go like this:

If your sis lives there then she can live with her but not seek out association with her. She can talk to the boyfriend as he is unbaptised but she cannot have him living in the house with your sis as she is condoning their fornication (!!). She cannot talk to you if you are disfellowshiped or you have disassociated yourself. She CAN associate with your girlfreind as she is neither baptised nor disfellowshipped. In fact she SHOULD speak to her. She can obviously see the children linked to your sis.... and any you have!!!

How f**d up is all that!! And the absolute way to make a complete disfunctional family if ever I saw it!! The poor children have NO idea what the heck is going on!!

Not wanting to take over your thread but just to say, my BIL is just like your mum. I called him up to ask why he wouldn't come to my mums when we were there. I am not d'fd but fallen away, live with bfriend etc. His reasoning: He can go to the house if just my boyfriend and kids are there.... but not me. His kids can see mine, but NOT me! There poor little faces as I turned up (they were living next door to my mum) and outside their house when I arrived to see mum! They looked horrified to see me and ran indoors quick! Yep I checked the mirror but I hadn't turned into a monster!! imo! lol. The kids also asked my mum who is fallen away if she is gonna die at armageddon!!! that is the picture they have in their minds!!! NICE and christian I don't think.

Best of luck with your mum, all I can say is this is a great place to come and visit and get advice. It will keep you strong and the people are all so kind and helpful and I have been very happy to belong here!! xxx

I came across this site by accident.... and SO HAPPY I did. It was a couple of weeks ago and I feel like a weight of GUILT has been lifted from me!!!! A lot of us have had a very UNHAPPY time in the "truth" and seeking out like minded people who BUILD you UP is the best way to get over feeling unhappy for so many years!

I must say that as a JW (when I went along) I could NEVER understand the hypocracy of (the majority) of the members. Now, YOU for one are going on field service? Why? There is NO POINT now. You have BEEN TOLD NOT to associate with worldly persons.... yet YOU have sought us out and chose to join us and make conversation!!! NOT only are we "worldly" but we have "turned our backs" on your religion!!!!! This used to upset me the MOST. I would think I was going to die at armaggedon if I happen to have a bad thought.... or swore, or didn't answer up, or didn't study - if I did it wasn't enough, if I associated with anyone who wasn't a witness, if I didn't make a meeting, if I didn't go on field service enough...... the guilt was too much!!! I watched a lot of people doing "the worldly thing" in the "truth" and my thought was, I either grass them up..... or leave!!! So along with the guilt of all the above and not wanted to spill the beans on half the congregation.... I left!!!

Tell you what, you approach an elder of your choice. Sit down with him, and invite him to sit next to you whilst you come on to the site next time....... come on later and let us know his answer . Or better still, give me the name of your congregation and maybe one of us will visit and come over and have a chat xx

Now, to me, if I was one still..... I think I would be trying to tell everyone!!! My friend tells me of the meal her mate are arranging on the w/nd with the cong.... of her money probs.... but NO mention of the end of the world!!!

is the " generation " teaching that was redefined during 1995 still taught to " interested ones " or have the wtbts totally removed this generation idea from their new literature, which is used to indoctrinate a person leading up to baptism?.

Right so the Watchtower 1984 .... this generation of 1914 will by no means pass away.... they have disregarded it ..... what I need is a w/tower saying words to that effect. Have they specifically said we no longer believe this? I know 80 yrs has come and gone... but there are still people living from that time - okay - JUST. My mum wants specifics. Like here they said this... and now they say this and have two comparisons.

I am being really thick and annoying me thinks!!!

agghhh now I'm confused again! I just read the link and the quote. It is going on about this generation.... that saw 1914 will by no means pass away until the conclusion of these signs... right.... so what is the change? that is what was always preached to me. I can't see the change??? sorry guys!
