There's a reason for that. When JWs lose faith in the Watchtower they do so in thousand different ways. Some accept the Trinity, some don't. Some accept blood, some don't. Some believe in the end times, some don't. Some still believe the Bible, some don't. Some believe in God, some don't. And so on and so on. The idea that hundreds of Witnesses are organizing themselves spontaneously into a community of like-minded doubt is, to me, just not credible.
I agree with you Slim I left at an early age because what they were teaching was not provable reality. I and I suppose a lot on this forum left not out of a conspiratorial overthrow of WBTS but just they couldn't in good conscience preach such bullshit anymore.

A special pioneer in Newfoundland. I have often said that I've never met a Newfoundlander that I didn't like but maybe there could be an occasional exception to that rule. I wonder if he was able to gain fluency in Nefoundlandese LOL.

I am glad this was decided this way and it seems to me it would have naive for the Grandparents to expect things to turn out differently. I have personal experience in this area with me forbidding my parents from discussing religion with my children when they used to come and visit when I was at work. I made it very clear that if my wishes were not followed the visits would end.
My wife and her family who are not Witnesses thought I was being a bit harsh, but they didn't understand the cult intricacies the way I did. So instead of trying to recruit my children they concentrated on my wife for a while but without any success.
Someone at the Kingdom Hall must have advised them not to pursue Witnessing to my children and because they did not discuss religion with them they had an almost normal Grandparent Grandchild relationship with them for a while.

I know exactly what you feel. I've been out a bit longer and it sure is nice to hear from people that know exactly(for the most part) what you've been through.

I cannot emphasize enough that the best interest of the child is based on whether or not a situation, regardless of what it is, is causing stress to the child. Free speech has no standing in this issue. None whatsoever.
Lets hope your right and I mean that, but the road to hell is paved with good intentions.

I am sorry Orphan but I think it will go down as a free speech issue. How would you feel if you were forbidden to talk to someone about something? I wholeheartedly believe in the intentions of the ruling it's not wishful thinking that brings me to this opinion.

I hate to put a damper on everyone's enthusiasm but I think this decision will be struck down eventually. That's free speech you can't legislate good manners.
