I always had to chuckle at this
by TooBad TooSad inat circuit and especially district assemblies so many witnesses take.
notes of what was being said at such a feverish pace that i would ask.
myself: "what are they hearing that i am not hearing that is so important.

just to keep from falling asleep, but i also was a sincere note taker...I believed all the garbage they spewed from the platform, I took it to heart...it was all emotional for me...not logical.
After a while, i began to care less and less about what was said, and took longer and longer naps at the conventions...the speaker's voice lulling me to a blissful sleep...

I have a question...
Yet the WTS says they are unable to give a personal witness to each person even with the help of over 200 million angels .
Ok, where does the WTS come up with that specific number...from the Bible???
and if that is even true, why did God create angels? Was he lonesome? Did he need slave workers to clean up the universe? Did they send comets on their way....maybe they created black holes just for the fun of it...
let's suppose that humans never came into exsistence, were not even a thought in God's mind......what role do angels play then?
Just some questions that I thought of...

Crazy things you were "forced" to do in the Borg
by RR inwere you ever told to do things that had no bearing on the scriptures or even policies of the watchtower?.
we had one co who upon inspection insisted that the body of elders and servants be cleaven shaven, cut their hair and remove their sideburns.. i use to have a patch of hair under my bottom lip.
the co pointing to it asked, "what's that?

Be prepared to be coerced, nagged, begged into a bible study, be prepared for her to be viewed as bad association for marrying ''outside the Lord'',
having a bible study will force you to make the decision to either get baptized or not,
and if you decide to not get baptized, you will be labled as a willful non-believer, and not worthy of their association.
basically, its a lose-lose situation...
try and get her out of it. if at all possible. you are doing both yourselves a huge life saving favour by doing so.

Will there be death in paradise?
by Bob Loblaw inso, from what i remember,...after armageddon, those righteous jw's who make it through will have to clean up the utter devestation.
imagine 9/11 on a world-wide scale.
they also (from what i remember) will not be miraculously perfect right away.

Your View On BREASTFEEDING In Public
by minimus inlast night on the news a woman was told by a store manager that she could not in public breastfeed her child.
she and her husband were quite offended and complained to the company's main offices.
they are now looking into this situation.. what's your opinion?

One of the "pluses" of breastfeeding is that no additional equipment is required. I would feel somewhat resentful if I felt that I had to buy a pump and bottles and all the sterilization paraphernalia needed to give breastmilk from a bottle, if I did not want to go to that expense. And for what? To make someone else feel better? What else do you buy that you don't need or necessarily want, just because it makes someone else feel better?
Well Said Scully! Infact your entire post was amazing!
In this day and age - breast pumps are very affordable and common. A woman has the option of using these to carry the milk with her to her mother in laws house, the airplane, the mall, a busy restaurant...etc. As I said - a woman who is discreet when breastfeeding is so good that nobody around her even knows what she's doing. There are however, women who feel a need to stand up and scream 'my rights'..simply because its the cause of the day. By the way - I'm not against it - some of my sisters chose to do it but they performed the task using respect and common sense for the varying relationships they found themselves in ie; the public, family, friends.sammieswife.
Sammieswife, of course a woman would stand up for her rights to breastfeed her hungry baby when that child is hungry if someone told her to not breastfeed infront of them. THEY CAN LOOK AWAY IF THEY DONT LIKE IT!!!!
How would you like it if someone told you didnt have the right to eat with your mouth open, or that you didnt have the right to speak your mind, would you not be a little incenced? Would you not defend your rights?
Breastfeeding ISNT shameful and it isn't a TASK. It's an act of love.
Even though you say you are not against it, you are obviously not an advocate for it either especially if you tell mothers to pump and bottle feed. That's just disresptful, insulting, and insensitive.
Thank goodness the majority of people dont think like you do, and actually dont mind seeing a woman giving her baby the love and nourishment that it needs, right when they need it.
Most women dont just whip out their breasts, but if they do, and it bothers you, LOOK THE OTHER WAY!!
