If I didnt, I would say, ''I actually didnt make a dedication...so does that make my baptism void''

Did you ACTUALLY do this?
by Frequent_Fader_Miles inas part of your "dedication and baptism" did you actually go to jehovah in prayer and "dedicate" your life to him prior to your baptism?
at the time when the elders were reviewing the "questions" with me, i hadn't a clue that i was supposed to do this until one of them asked directly.
i answered in the affirmative anyway ... wanting the incessant questioning to be over as quickly as possible.

my dedication prayer, was a spur of the moment, and a completely emotional one time deal. I had forgotten about it until the brother asked me what the date was when i made my dedication...i was like, ummmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm,
i remembered where i was when i said that prayer, but couldn't remember the date...like who remembers that? do they write it on their JW calendar? lol jk.
so then he said, ''well you should remember the day, it's the most important date of your life!!!''
Embarassed I said, ''oh right, i remember now! it was **/**/96.....'' shoulda known something was wrong with my dedication when it wasn't special enough for me to remember the date of it, and then to lie about remembering the date to save myself from embarassment. I was 17, I was totally not ready to make this commitment.

True or False: Watchtower Male Stereotype
by YoursChelbie ini always used to cringe when the watchtower "family" and "youth" books would stereotype men and women into two mutually exclusive categories: "men think while women feel.
"one trait is not better than the other they are just different...," i recall the books went on to say in so many words.
i'm well aware both men and women have excelled in science, etc.

It's a total stereotype
people are people
some are sensitive and cry easily while others are more stoic and can hold their emotions in check, while some dont feel things easily at all.
I have known men to cry and be more emotional than women
I get so mad when they say men are more logical and women are more emotional, i have seen it can be quite the opposite.
There are logical men and women and emotional men and women, It depends on their personality, not their gender.
the sooner the world stops stereotyping people, the closer we will come to acheiving human harmony.
Ignorances and stereotypes only serve to hold us back in the dark ages. that is why the WTS is in the dark ages, and they keep their followers stupid and ignorant.

What are the 3 meetings per week each about?

I have been going since I was a baby up until 2 years ago, so I could tell you too what the 3 meetings are all about,
I will be totally honest and tell you that you should learn all you can about the history of the watch tower bible tract society before you commit to going to 3 meetings a week.
I will say this much, I will not tell you what to do or what no to do, but just keep an open mind about EVERYTHING they teach, ASK QUESTIONS, and dont be satisfied with being told to wait on jehovah!
MAKE THEM ANSWER your questions, ask someone until they can asnwer you.
See these sites: very objective and informative LEARN ALL YOU CAN! they tell you to investigate any religion you are thinking about joining, it is imperitive you take this advice, and investigate the religion called Jehovah's Witnesses.
