  What made you "see the light"?

  i realize many (or all) of the ex-j.w.

  's in this forum have either gotten out of the org., faded, or in some way have come to the conclusion that the watchtower is not the "faithful and discreet slave", and is not the "true" religion that they claim to be.

  i am curious to know..... "what made you see the light"?.

  i remember when i first googled "jehovah's witnesses".

  i was sick to my stomach because i feared that i was disobeying jehovah.

  although i was scared that i would find something "apostate" or "demonic", i still continued to click on different links.

  In 2002 I actually thought of coming back to the "troof", thinking it had to have changed for the better.So I googled...........

  And when I got the lowdown of what really has been going on in the Borg since 1975.. It stopped me dead in my tracks, and came to the conclusion that I was better off out in the REAL WORLDwith the REAL GOD, not the Watchtower "version"..........Rocky220[from the Borg-free class]

  my weekly conversations with my old friend, johnny, who was responsible for bringing me into the watchtower society, have proved to be a herculean task.

  he is still active in the organization and greatly skilled at avoiding anything unpleasant for him to face.

  i've learned to identify his evasions as such and prepare myself mentally to deal with them.. what evasions have you encountered?.
