I am really freaked out by the newspaper article that Englishman put up. It shows that not only was this abuser not disfellowsipped but that he was relocated and allowed to continue to pioneer. This is reprehensible! How anyone can question the numbers on the Silentlambs website is just beyond me.

Where is the proof Jehovahs people abuse children?
by Bleep inhere is what this "special topic" describes with deadly false propaganda.. "a person might ask why we would single out the witnesses in this matter.
as with other fundamentalist cults, the watchtower goes by the bible advice only when it comes to exposing crimes regarding children or anyone else, that there must be two or more witnesses to a crime.
since abuse and molestation are rarely seen by anyone other than the perpetrator and the victim (and the victim will rarely testify against himself), perhaps hundreds or thousands of cases have gone unpunished, and the perpetrator has not been brought to the police, and the congregation has not been told.

What Would You Have Done?
by Dutchie inthere was a middle-aged woman in our kingdom hall who was a long time pioneer.
she was a very warm and loving woman and so when she announced her plans for a family vacation one year some of us got together and took up a little collection so that she would have some extra money to spend.
after all, she was working hard for jehovah and werent we supposed to show our appreciation?.

Dutchie, did you say anything to them?
Hi Salud, well when she was telling us this story we were out in field service and I am ashamed to say that I didn't say anything to her about it. A few of us sisters excahnged looks but that's all. We dropped it right there. I don't know why. I wish I had more moral courage at that time, but I didn't. Today it would be different but then, at the time, it just seemed simpler just to let it go.

No, I'm not kidding. They weren't kidding either. They absolutely thought it was okay. They just took the cash, not the credit cards or other identification. I found it hard to believe too, but there are al kinds of people in the world and all kinds of people go to the Kingdom Hall. In fact that's what comes about when you have "legislated morality". If every little thing is not spelled out for you, you really don't know how to react in an unfamiliar situation.

When she returned we all waited expectantly for her to regale us with stories of her great vacation adventures. Well we got a story all right.
It seems that she and her family were walking on the beach one day and they found a wallet containing $570.00. I thought she was going to tell us about going to the police to find the person it belonged to, or at least how she herself looked for the owner of the wallet. However, thist was not the case. It seemed that what she did was take the cash out of the wallet, put the cash in her pocket, and then put the wallet in a mailbox.
I could hardly believe what she was saying. She was smiing and was not at all embarrassed as she told us that she and her ministerial servant husband, supposedly Christians, found money that did not belong to them, made no attempt to find its owner and kept it for themselves. In fact, she mentioned the phrase "Jehovah provides."
I know that if it were me and I found a wallet with that amount of money in it I would have searched hi and lo for the owner or at least taken it to the police department. The wallet had identification in it and that was why she put it in the mailbox. It seems to me it would have been a simple matter to find the owner of the wallet, especially if I had the name and address.
But then that's me. What would you have done?

What Head Covering Should I Wear?
by writerpen ini've been out of the borg since august 2001 and have been attending an episcopal church since january.
this sunday, i'm scheduled to pray and read the bible before the congregation for the first time.
even though my priest jokingly said in reference to a head covering, "you better not wear one," especially being that she never wears one.

by rekless infirst of all there are several different types of leukemia.
danny had acute lymphatic leukemia, he became ill at two years old...this was in 1972... he lived for 16 years died two weeks after he graduated from high school.. now...he never had an ounce of blood during the 16 years of treatment.
he underwent chemo theropy.. this was the worste class of childhood leukemia at that time.. this form was considered cured if the child remained in remission for five years...there was a 50-50 chance of those that had lymphatic leukemia would be cured by the 1980's he fell in the class that did not.. for five years he would be in remission then the drugs stopped working and he would have to under-go another type og chemo.

- Reckless, Windchaser, Beck, I dedicated one of my favorite poems to you. I wish you all peace.
- Death be not proud, though some have called thee
- Mighty and dreadful, for thou art not so,
- For those whom thou think'st thou dost overthrow,
- Die not, poor death, nor yet canst thou kill me.
- From rest and sleep, which but thy pictures be,
- Much pleasure, then from thee, much more must flow,
- And soonest our best men with thee do go,
- Rest of their bones, and soul's delivery.
- Thou art slave to Fate, Chance, kings, and desperate men,
- And dost with poison, war, and sickness dwell,
- And poppy, or charms can make us sleep as well,
- And better than thy stroke; why swell'st thou then?
- One short sleep past, we wake eternally,
- And death shall be no more; death, thou shalt die.
