I got a nutter !
by Simon ina good example of fine christian conduct, brought to you by "debbie.williams".. first email.
i'm glad that jehovah will kill you, yet!.
there is alot of things that i want to say but you know that jesus said in matt 24:9-11 that you would hate his faithful ones ,but to be honest with you ,we don't hate you ,cause in matt 5;1-9 says that we will be hated,so since we all know that ,than it is a pleasure that you talk about us.and other thing that i want to say is that people in the world thinks that we are crazy ,but if you would read the old testament than you will know that the jews were to serpart themselves from the other nations and that is how jehovah's witness fell about it,see when the jews would be around other nations than they would forget jehovah and they would worship other gods.when they do that ,it would cost them their lives.so it is good that you are talking about us and i would like for you to continue to do so .why?

WBTS-A Multi-Level Scheme?
by Dutchy infirst i get a group of gullible people and tell me that i am in possession of the only true religion.
then i print a whole bunch of books and magazines using free workers who are only too glad to have the "privilege" of working free for the "lord" at my book printing headquarters and then i tell my local groups of gullible people that it is the will of god they buy all the books and magazines i print, not just one copy but mutiple copies.
of course, each person in their family has to have their own copy too, no sharing books.

First I get a group of gullible people and tell me that I am in possession of the only true religion. Even babies should have their own copy. Then I tell them that they have to go out do the Lord's work, which of course I back up with scripture, and that Lord's work is for them to go from door to door with the books and magazines they have purchased from me. If they don't "place" this literature or get contributions from the householder, its no skin off my teeth, because I've already got my money.
Now I tell my people that their goal is to get as many people as they can from this door to door work to join them in this unique religion because then I will have new people to buy my books and magazines and (Oh, boy!) I am going to get rich. Because then those new people will start going from door to door and they will indoctrinate more new people and then those people will get still more new people, and I keep growing and growing....
Of course, I have to give my people an incentive for doing all this free work. I know I'll tell them that they will get everlasting life in a Paradise New Earth. Yeah, that's the ticket. Everylasting life. And the more they go from door to door the better chance they will have to be i God's favor.
And I keep on growing, I get richer and richer and those poor duped people don't know that what they are is salesmen.
Oh, yes because I call this a religion, my groups have to make contributions too. Yes, as much as possible, because God's work has to go forward.
I am going to make a killing!

'Apostate' or something better???
by Latte indear all,.
i desperately feel that the grand title of apostate applies no more to ex jws than it does to the whole of active jws.. therefore, i am asking for some sort of alternative title for the wonderful people who post on here.
the word apostate strikes fear in the average dub.

I think that the term "Apostate" used on this site is used somewhat flippantly. You know, the WBTS calls us Apostate and means it as someone bad, someone to be shunned. But we adopt it and turn its meaning around to something positive and something to be desired. Actually, I'm proud to be "Apostate." However, I know how you feel. Before I understood it I also was offended by the term. Not any more though.

WindRider needs your love and support
by Skeptic inwindrider is seriously depressed today, dangerously so.
she really needs your support, friendship and encouragement.
she would have posted on the board herself, but her system is down.

Hi, Windrider - I am fairly new to this Board, but I know that in the short time I've been I have been encouraged. This Board is indeed a blessing. Anyway, be assured that my thoughts and prayers are with you and know that time and circumstance changes everything. Tomorrow things will be different maybe better and then all the tomorrows to come may be still better. As long as we have life we have hope and the chance to change our circumstances. I wish you only the best.

J's: A disapproving look, raised eyebrows, a slight shake of the head and a deep sigh when you notice something that is obviously not "theocratic", i.e., spike heels, short skirt.
Apostate: A look of sheer glee, a slight drool, a nodding of the head and loud wolf whistles when you notice something that is obviously not "theocratic" but you don't care anymore, i.e., spike heel, short skirt.

Washington Post -- Rev. "Jellyfish" R...
by Alleymom inalthough i am pretty new to this board, i've been reading about jw issues for a long time, around 13 years.
i have an old washington post article in my files, from may 4,1906, that i have never seen anywhere on the internet.. the article is titled "rev.
jellyfish russell" and it is a very sarcastic commentary on russell's infamous jellyfish statement, made during his court trial for divorce.. i copied the article from microfilm in a university library, and unfortunately it does have scratch marks, but the words are quite plain.. last week when i was doing an altavista search i came across one of tom tallyman's webpages.

You write:
"Basically you can either believe my word. Or believe somebody elses word regardless if they are wrong or right which in the end, has no better solution to offer for hope."
However, don't you realize that the organization that you belong to does allow its members to think for themselves. That everything you do and say is legislated. Why, your posting on this Board is a reason for them to disfellowship you.
Also, I don't believe that anyone here has a problem with your organization going to court and fighting for human rights, but that absolutely does not excuse it joining the UN. I don't care what the elders you questioned say, there is inconclusive prrof that they indeed indeed belong to the United Nation, an organization that for decades they have been drumming into our heads was partnered with false religion, or Babylon The Great. Why we were even cautioned not to accept jobs with the UN and now to see that they have themselves joined itsw rank is just to much. I for one am outraged at their duplicity and you should be too.
Just remember that the WTBS is nothing more than a gigantic multi-milion dolar publishing company. All of its books are best sellers before they roll off the presses because you and your "friends" are required to buy them and peddle them from door to door. If you place your hope in a publishing company operating under the guise of a religion, then there is no help for you.
There fight for religious freedom is other countries benefits them directly because they will then have more poor souls, giving them free labor, selling their books and magazines, making them richer still.
