  i havn't posted here much but have been reading this forum daily for a long time.

  my husband and i started reading this site when we first started having doubts about the wts.

  now it's been a couple years and we have both da and moved on.. i can't tell you how much it helped to read all your experiences and advice.

  according to spong, not only does hell not exist, but neither does the divinity of christ, a theistic god, miracles, the redemptive property of jesus' death on the cross, his resurrection, his ascension, and many other things besides.

  on another thread i asked: .

  "f i do not renounce my atheism, repent and start believing in and worshipping the christian god, what will happen to me?".

  i do not want your judgement or your opinion i want to know what your church/faith teaches on the subject or the fate of unbelievers.. no platitudes, please.

  Is there a Christian message without the element of fear/perceived threat?

  so many christians highlight love and mercy as the main point of their religion.. that's undeniably appealing.. but is it true to christianity?.

  in the end, isn't the belief all about escaping god's violent wrath?

  aren't those that are unable to accept the system's contradictions and absurdities promised suffering and eventual destruction as punishment for their disbelief?.

  Great Watchtower Library Feature: No More Daily Text ;-)

  i just started the watchtower library looking something up and was welcomed with "text for monday, january 01, 2007" and ist said: .

  "no text was found for this day.".

  WHO'S 40 OR NEARLY 40!!!!!

  hi everybody and happy new year.

  2007 is the year i turn 40, in fact in exactly one month's time to be precise.. i've noted that a lot of people on jwd are a similar age to me.

  i think it's because it takes us this long to pluck up the courage to finally leave the borg.. i need to know how turning 40 makes you feel.
