  hallo everybody,i m new here.. thank you for having me here.. i have been reading (lurking) for a long time.from the very first moment i came here i felt like:.

  halleluja i m not alone!!!!!!!!

  i have used what i read here - got a "depression" and started to fade-haven t seen the inside of a kh for more than a year and it feels so good.. mathilde.

  FIRST TIME: Ran into Hoho ex-friends at restaurant

  they said hello, we did not, we both just glared and looked through them.

  might mention - these particular ones were only ever decent to us at the kh when they needed advice on buying a car (i was useful) or when their son's truck broke down and they needed mechanical help (my husband was useful).

  plus, last year when we were moving a few blocks away, the wife drove by and stopped as we were outside loading a truck, and she gasped in horror at the sight of my handgun on my side.

  Looking for GOLDEN AGE mags 1925-1930

  i'm trying to find copies of the golden age, specifically from the years 1925-1930. there seems to have been some really outrageous stuff published during those years, which i would like to be able to verify.

  i found this site which has links to high-quality scans of most issues, but the 1925-1930 period is missing.

  if anyone has copies (electronic or otherwise), or knows where to find some, please contact me!

  What % of JW's think they will make it to the New System without dying?

  when i joined some 20 years ago, i was 99% sure i'd make it alive and see the new system without dying, because they way they put it, the end was so close, and i was so young.. today, if i was still going to meetings, i would say that i would be 20% sure of seeing the new sytem without dying first.. if you were still a jw, or if you still are going to meetings, what % would you say is your odds of making it to the new system without dying?.

  i watched the first part of the frontline special on mormons last night and i just visited the website.

  mormons are so much cooler than jws.

  they have a bloody history, pride in their ancestory and their temples are beautiful!

  JW children - conditionally loved?

  when they reach a certain age they are expected to "sign up" (get baptized).

  in many cases if they choose not to their parents essentially "disfellowship" them.

  so a lot of children get baptized under pressure from the parents and when they fail to live the jw life and get df'd the folks are the harshest shunners.

  I found that I could 'Walk'!

  i found out that 'i could walk' about three years ago.

  i stood up and 'i walked'.

  five years ago, i was trapped in the watchtower 'wheelchair' believeing that only 'they' could make me a good person through their interpretation of the bible.

  well done gilly...I am at the Heather Mccartney stage....limping about wanting to sue an institution............she has a cheek to sue paul mccartney by the way...he has been really generous to her...at christmas he bought her a plane....and for her other leg he just got her a ladyshave
