thrown out of the only home they have known for years.. i just can't imagine how hurtful it would be.. i do hope you can get some form of community from the board.. our hearts go out to you.. .

Tell us about the offbeat people you have had in your congregation
by BonaFide inwe had a brother once in my sisters' hall who would preach downtown with old watchtowers and awakes, i mean like 15 year old magazines, and he would sell them above cost.
even after the donation system went info effect, he would still sell them.
the elders tried to talk to him about it, but he could never really have a normal conversation.

I told this story before....but there was a guy that went to the hall....."big eric"....and my father in law used to study with him......one time he was up for his study and my mother in law heard noise coming from the other room.......my father in law came staggering in....his hair all ruffled...(when he had hair)....saying "eric wanted a dummy (pretend) fight after the study".........

Swearing in WT DVD
by zombie dub inhas anyone else seen the [amazingly badly] animated dvd/video about king david (on the dvd it was a double bill with one about noah).. i had to endure watching this one as it was to be 'studied' at the service meeting.. anyway, a bit of the way in, after the israelites beat the philistines, there is a good 3-4 second shot of all the israelites sticking up 2 fingers at the philistines (which, in the uk anyway, means "f*ck you" and is regarded as the same as verbally saying a 4 letter word), i pointed this out to my family and every witness that would listen.
everyone told me i was lieing or mistaken.. anyway, see it for yourself!
anyone else already notice this?

I just want this to stop!: Update
by mrsjones5 inon my last topic i talking about how mean and harassing my parents were being and how i had to change the deadbolt on my front door to keep my father out.
well the update is my father didn't carry out his threat.
he never showed and has ceased calling.
