Well, abr, it's different strokes for different folks. You should ask your wife what turns her on. Then do that, but also look for romantic things to surprise her. Bring her some little special gift gift you know she will enjoy occasionally. It could be something you buy, or something you find such as picking a flower. Give her a foot rub or massage. Send her a romantic or a funny card and write your own message in it. It can be a sweet message or it can be a funny message, maybe a private joke between the two of you. Tell her how much you appreciate her and what she means to you. Make her feel appreciated. That is a real turn-on to me. I think things done can be more attractive than how you look. But don't discount a pair of overalls with no shirt on underneath on a hot summer day.

I think it is physically sexy and hot when my husband gets up after dinner and washes dishes. Of course, I guess that's just me.
But I also think it is sexy and hot when he wears overalls, or coordinates his ballcap and shirt, coat, or vest. I am also attracted to the ways he stands and walks. He has good posture, stands tall, carries his head high, and walks with confidence. He just exudes the aura of a successful and powerful man, which he is in his own sphere.

The guy who had them is named Michael Devlin. It's on MSN breaking news. I am so glad they were found. I know Shawn Hornbeck's family must have given him up for dead a long time ago.

Did being an elder jepordize your own family?
by avidbiblereader indo you think being an elder jepordized your own family or do you know of elders who burnt themselves out at the expense of the congregation and let their own families go to the way side?
do you have experiences that this laboring for the congregation has ruined families?.
i tried to be balanced but to do it all, i remember getting up at 2:30 am before work to work on parts so to have time with my daughter but i feel that i took time that was and should have been devoted to my family that had to be put into the congregation for any reason.

Just look at how many elders have to step down because of problems in their family and that will give you your answer. Of course, the other side of that coin is the elders who did not step down, but made their children move out of the family home so they could continue to be elders.

Special Talk on Saturday @ 3PM?
by Morocco ini was talking to a friend and he said the co (i think) was coming down this saturday for some special talk at 3 pm.
i don't ever recall special talks on a saturday, or as late as 3 pm -- what could it be?
unless i misunderstood that it was the co, maybe it was someone else.

Several years ago there was a Bethel speaker here for the Memorial. Both of the congregations in town rented space at the local community college for it so they would have room to attend together. Afterward, everyone was saying it was the best Memorial talk they had ever heard and I was thinking "What???" I was not particularly impressed at all and did not think it was anything special.

They sometimes have the pioneer meeting during the CO's visit on Saturday afternoon, don't they? Or is it a weekday afternoon?

Good, they ought to be shut down. I found the film clip from that movie very disturbing. Talk about brainwashing!

It has been my observation many, many times that JW's cut people off emotionally. So much is expected of everyone and there is only so much of one to go around. Regardless of what they say about being the only religion that shows love, very little of it is ever shown, but they are full of judgmentalness and gossip. I could relate to how you felt after the conversation, shaking all over. It is such a shame that they cannot see how unreasonable they are. Hang in there and love and appreciate the rest of your family who are not J-dubs.
