District Assembly Games
by *jeremiah* ini left the jw's when i was 17, so most of these games were played during teenage years.. here are some things i remember doing with my friends during the assembly:.
1. the last clap.
after a brothers talk or when "new light" emerged and the entire stadium would erupt with clapping we would see if one of us could be the very last person in the entire stadium to clap.. 2. the laugh game.

does anyone remember the game where you would try to start everyone off clapping? that was the most fun, me and my mates would sit there waiting to get the very first clap in and start it off, sometimes we would clap at the most inapropriate times and everyone would clap! that kept us entertained for hours!

you have to search in the world newspaper site for a country say australia, then you go to a state for example western australia then a city, then it will show you all the local newspapers of that city, (it will have links to them) then you go into the newspapers website then there should be a way to contact the newspaper office, and you just send it to them.

imagine the effect that could have, if 10 people send it 10 times (with a cover letter) thats 100 sent in total, even if ony 1 out of 100 get the story into the newspaper that one published story would reach thousands! and you are more likely to get more than one published, and it doesnt take long to send each one , so you could easy do more than ten.
Most papers have a ''contact us'' or a ''news report'' section where you can send them info.
Does anyone have any ideas for a cover letter that we could all use? i think this could be a worthwhile way of spreading the JW lies so everyone has a better idea of what they really do apart from just not celebrating birthdays and christmas. lol, i can imagine it now, johny says ''have you heard of the JWs billy?'' billy says ''yeah, they dont celebrate birthdays, and they protect child molesters!''

JW husband very sad
by Rebirth ini have been out of jws for about three years, husband still goes and brings out two young girls.
he has been really withdrawn lately, eating less, not interested in sex.
i thought he was moping because i recently had a birthday party for our young daughter and because of halloween activities.

I really hope everything works out for you, this must be a very hard time for you, i was just wondering have you talked to your husband much about the false teachings of the organisation? the blood, their relationship with the UN, the hiding of the child abusers?
Maybe if you can tell him about these things and prove them to him using the watchtower publications and the facts available on the internet (the UN have information about the relationship between them and the JWs on their website) he might also realise that it is false teachings not in accordance with the bible at all, maybe you can show him the real truth.

It happened.....
by lavendar inour son, who is married to a witness, has just announced that he can no longer take part in holiday celebrations of any kind.
he is slowly being sucked into this org., and we are heart sick about it.
from what we understand, he has to purge his life of all these "horrible" things (like birthday celebrations, etc.
