Let's not forget the Jews, Hindus, and Taoists too. It is not a religion that these people need to fear, but the evil in the hearts of oil tycoons who are pissed off at the economic stronghold of the Bush family and the Freemasons. The Scottish Rite has finally taken over the world. The CIA and Bush Sr. know well what the scheme of things has been since they assasinated Kennedy.

Gripped by Islamaphobia - now Muslims cheating at cricket!
by eyeslice inthe uk is currently gripped by an intense debate over islam and islamaphobia (fear of muslims) is a new term coined by the media to descibe the feelings of many.
perhaps they see all muslims as fanatics and potential suicide bombers.. .
and now to add insult to injury, two pakistani cricketers, shoaib and team-mate mohammad asif, tested positive for nandrolone!.

Lets say something positive about Islam!
by eyeslice ini'ii start off.
i have traveled widely in asia and have visited iran on business.
i have always found the average muslim to be extremely hospitable and generous.

Real true traditional Islamic beliefs are actually quite sacred and non violent. One can compare a modern Muslim with a Christian Marine Soldier, in that both are quite skilled at killing for religion.

Let's Get A Woman For President
by Butters inuh, hey guys, i was kinda wonderin' what you all think of a woman for president here in 2008?
i like the idea myself... in another thread i said "i noticed that i found myself more sorrowful for military funerals then i used to be, and i am finally starting to see christmas as an act of love, and not so much a disobedience to god's ways.
i often thought of how jesus took the pharisee's traditions and explained how they were evil, because of how they were being used.

I often thought of how Jesus took the Pharisee's traditions and explained how they were evil, because of how they were being used. They were not seeing the weightier matters of the law, (mercy, love, etc). So what if Christmas has it's origins in Pagan/Babylonian worship. The spirit of love is there, and that is more important to Jesus then anything. It is not a selfish holiday either. It is about giving to others." - I said this in reply to some political topics. But I really think the time is here for out with the old and in with the new. IT's time for some new ideas in the white house. Maybe with a woman for president, it might be easier to get rid of the Watchtower cult.

JWs in white on bridge waiting 4 the Rapture in 1800s, anyone have quotes?
by jwfacts inin about 1881 a group of russell's followers stood one night on a bridge in pennsylvania dressed in white robes waiting to be taken to heaven.
it was reported in a newspaper.
apparently russell later said he was not one of the people on the bridge.. does any one have any of the details, and links to where it may be reported?.

Uh, well I'm surprised they didn't jump off the bridge when their leader was wrong, yeah, maybe if professor chaos was there, it might have happened, yeah.

5 questions
by Iforget ini read here so much that sometimes it makes my head hurt with how much bs i have been fed all of my life.
now that i am studying another religion i am so pissed off i can't see straight.
i don't care to get into a heated debate with my family over what i am choosing to do so i come here asking for 5 questions (there can be plenty more) that i can just say to my family that would give them pause as to why i am not going to their church anymore.

It must have worked somehow for us to be here. I look at it this way, it takes convincing to bring someone in, and it can take convincing to bring someone out.

I should have mentioned that it depends on who the person is. Those who still like the bible will probably respond better to ideas that sound as if the WT is twisting scripture. For me, I still read the bible and believe most of it's teachings concerning love and peace. But for many others, the route you are suggesting may work too.

MORE INSANE DRIVEL FROM THE NOV 15th WT STUDY
by Mary inhere's another article showing how loving jehovah's only channel in the universe is towards their fellow man.
on page 26 of the november 15th craptower study, there's a lovely study article called always accept jehovah's discipline.
in reality, we all know it's really saying "never question the governing body'sdiscipline".. it's starts out with the predicable "no discipline seems for the present to be joyous but grievous", blah, blah, blah.

Hi Chiddy, The WTBS uses a mock form of "rebuke" which, just like, uh, their other stuff, is really way off. They should be rebuked for their rebukes. I used to think the word had something to do with throwing up.
