recently, i was reacquainted with a friend that i knew since i started grade school.
he grew up in the world wide church of god and i as a witness.
neither of us did christmas so often we would find ourselves in the library while the rest of the school did christmas activities.. .

just curious, how many of you have to hide the fact that you post here from family?
i'm especially thinking of those with spouses who are in, while they themselves either never were, faded, dfed/daed, etc but if you are a child hiding it from parents, that applies too.
if you are posting secretly, how secretive do you have to be?
My husband knows I frequent ex-jw sites because I have brought up different subjects. I've chosen to tell him I read and not post. He thinks I read things just to keep myself stirred up and hateful about dubs. They can't grasp the concept of needing support or they wouldn't be in a cult themselves.

i'm not sure if this has been posted before, but i acquired this 'points to consider' about what a dub is willing to accept or not accept when it comes to blood.
as per usual, it appears that they've purposely made this very confusing and they're speaking out both sides of their mouth.
on page 1, it seems one of the options is using your own blood: "...during the course of a surgical operation, i accept all medical procedures involving the use of my own blood except...".
I saw my husband's laying on the table last night before he went to the meeting. It was so weird to see two strangers' names filled in as his 'Agent'. My name wasn't on it anywhere, even as an emergency contact.
my mom is slowly losing her old cat and her heart is breaking.
she would like to adopt a small dog.
(no puppies).
I always hated small dogs; thought they were yippy and hyper. We got a chihuahua for our daughter 6 years ago when she was 17. By the time she left home, we loved the dog too much to let her take her. We got another one last year and she's just the cutest little thing.
They are like babies that never grow up. Extremely portable; we take ours everywhere we travel. They are very protective. We have to watch the older one very carefully when strangers come around. They get along well with their own breed but don't like other dogs much. The exception being, we had a 5-year-old border collie mix when we got our first one. Being a puppy, she was fine with him and he's always been very tolerant and protective towards her.
In short, an excellent companion for older people.

It was always my understanding that apostasy was the 'sin against the holy spirit'. But I think some DO go back, so I'm not sure what it is.
