Does your personality type affect your belief in the divine?

Recently, I was reacquainted with a friend that I knew since I started grade school. He grew up in the World Wide Church of God and I as a Witness. Neither of us did Christmas so often we would find ourselves in the library while the rest of the school did Christmas activities.

He's working on a study for his masters on the correlation of personality types and belief in God. This is just an informal survey to test the basis for this question, he plans to form a more structured survey at a later date. I want to link him to this thread. Thanks in advance to anyone that decides to participate.

    Here is his post:

Hi there. I'm a grad student doing research on the connection between psychological type and religious / nonreligious beliefs. You can help me by posting the following:

    1. Your Myers-Briggs type

    2. Your religious upbringing (if any)

    3. Your current views on God, religion, and spirituality (in brief)

I will also post any relevant information on this topic as I come across it and eventually the actual results of my research (although that'll be awhile as I'm still in the beginning stages).

PS - If you don't know your Myers-Briggs type, visit:

PPS - If you're not sure how to describe your views, consider the following possibilities: Uninterested; Spiritual but not religious; Atheist; Agnostic; Non-churchgoing Christian (or Non-mosquegoing Muslim); etc.
