But JW shop in stores that are owned by people who dont share their beliefs, right?? Hmm makes no sense.
i was yelled at once by a sister for buying the canadian beer 'sleemans' because apparantly it's founder john sleeman was an apostate.. trust me, you can't make this #$@& up!
lol.

(the david bowie song in case you're wondering).
there seems to be a lot of talk and speculation about the changes that are coming at the next district conventions.
there have certainly been quite a few articles and talks (esp.
Hello Im not a JW, so please excuse my ignorance. Can anyone list all these "new lights" with the changes JW organisation has done in the past, or send me a good link?
the latest wt questions from readers on blood.
fractions of all "primary" components are now allowed?.
is this saying that everything is allowed except when they're combined together?
Id like to read more about it. Are they really trying to slowly change their doctrine? this seemed to be one of the major issues. Does anyone know a good article?
i noticed that many who post here have kind of thrown the "baby out with the bathwater", when it comes to the bible and god.. i understand that there is a fine line between love and hate.
maybe they blame god for the deception.
maybe they don't trust anything to do with god any more.
Why should your belief depend on other ppls actions? Someone else mentioned that he/she us a "neutral JW" which I thought was a clever thing. So by all means believe in Jehova if thats what feels right to you, and stay away from Jehovas Witnesses if they try to manipulate you and belittle your personal beliefs. Believing in something good cant be wrong, wether its Christianity, Islam or whatever. Thats my personal opinion. How can we define god in any other way than on a personal level? None of us knows for sure, so why belong to an organisation that claims they know? You may as well believe on your own.
i have pioneered for over four years.
i have three children and a wife who at times has severe back problems.
i have worked two jobs just to stay ahead of the bills and provide for my family.
Like Homer Simpson would say "what would Jebus do?" But seriously what would he do? Would he feed his family first or care what the elders say? I hope you find a way to solve your problem. I'm not a JW. Organised religion is not for me, so I cant give you any "practical" advice. I dont know the rules- Sorry...
dear brothers and sisters,.
i martini, will confide in you that i have become a neutral jehovah's witness.
i wonder if i'm not coining a new phrase here!.
People can believe whatever they want. I think its a good thing to see more than eye can see. I always say that I respect all religions to a certain degree. JWs have some good teachings that can be helpful for your psyche. But I dont like when a person belonging to a certain religion tries to convert me, telling me (politely) that my beliefs are wrong. That term " neutral JW" should be coined. Its a good idea. You can leave the organisation, but keep your beliefs, Martini. Its nobody's business but yours how you see god. Im not a JW myself, but like I said I respect ppl who believe in anything good. If it makes you a better person, and it feels right, then stick to it. Your belief shouldnt depend on other peoples actions.
the ones i grew up with always speak to me even the ones who have subsequently become elders and are pioneers.. they sicken me!!!.
i would like to shun them, eventhough we were freinds growing up.
these are pitiful people.
I dont understand that part of JW organisation. Is it their policy to ignore ppl who "quit"? But they talk to "sinners" all the time trying to convert them. Do families do this as well? Has anyone from your family turn your back on you. I have asked a JW about this, and she answered that they do it to help the one that left.I guess when he/she is all alone out there without any friends, theres'a chance for them to regret and come back. I cant believe a parent would do that though? What if a 16 year old decided to leave JW's? You cant exactly kick them out? Can anyone give me a serious answer? Excuse my ignorance, I dont really know much about JW. I respect all religions to a certain degree and dont see any difference between them. I have my own beliefs too, even though I would never join a religious group or organisation. ppl should believe whatever they want. But I dont like when they try to convert me, assuming I'm the one who's wrong.
i get up each morning and turn on the news, right as i get out of bed.
not because i want some news to start the day, but rather this is often been a major moment in my life.
i remember turning it on one morning and hearing about the first trade tower bombing, turning it on and hearing about the oklahoma city bombing, turning it on and seeing the trade towers burning (well, one of them, i watched the second plane hit live).
I used to watch the news often, but now its too depressing. It simply ruins my day. Maybe I have become more sensitive with age. now I force myself to watch the news at least once in 2-3 weeks just to know what's happening, and to be aware. I believe its important to know in order to be less ignorant, but it upsets me every single time.
hi everyone, just would like a bit of advice on how to 'corner' my ex jw mates so they see im right with only what their publications say and with the bible?
i have a few ideas up my sleave but i was hoping to get a few other good examples on other topics like the blood thing, but only prove them wrong using their material, that way they cant say its 'apostate' (although you never know what some jws will come up with these days).. for example whats the best and least confusing way to explain the blood thing?
we really need a reference on all of this so that we can make up a single letter that exsplains everything that they have contradicted themselves with and all the mixed up stuff they have done, straight to the point and soooo simple that even a jw can read and understand it (maybe a nice picture book with colouring in?).
I already posted in this thread but theres one thing I'd like to add which I cant understand about JW. From my understanding they say that ppl will be vegeterians when in paradise. (correct me if Im wrong) because there wont be death. Ok, thats nice.. BUT, then how can they justify being meat eaters now? Ppl are also meant to be good and pure in paradise, so if using the same logic, we could all as well be bad, and wait for the goodness to kick in after we die. They confess meat is bad but they eat it... You could use the same logic for drugs, violence, sex before marriage etc? and just say its bad and it won't be allowed in paradise, but its OK for now? See my point?
And like I already said, they DO eat blood (you cant drain all of it from meat). How do they explain this? Does anyone know?

I'm new here and not a JW, but Im interested in all religions for more academic reasons. Would never be a part of a religious organisation though.the one thing I could never understand is how can they refuse blood but eat meat which is full of it? (you can never remove all of it from meat) They have visited a few times and I'm not that informed to ask any REAL question, I dont know much about them. They always "appear" to have all the answers, and Id like to have a good argument and proof. Can anyone help me with this, maybe send a link to a site that explains it well? I'm not trying to prove anyone wrong, I respect all religions to a certain degree and I let ppl believe whatever they want. I have some "crazy" beliefs myself. But I'd like to have an EQUAL and intelligent conversation with them and present some evidence... They just cant be right about everything.lol... Thanks!
