I had noticed some time ago that there was nothing but the years listed of the changes and wanted to know the specific publications myself. When I read your topic I went back to that webpage that lists the flip-flops and sent an email to the administrator of the website asking if they could add the publications (revision & page #s). Hopefully they will be able to get us that information. In the mean time maybe more people will be able to supply the ones you need now.

Need a little advice on this
by hambeak inthe owners of my business cannot meet payroll and have not paid a lot of bills.. the owner of the place i used to manage wants me back at twice the salary i make now but doesn't want jake there.
i accepted and jake is very upset.
he wants me to look for something we can both work together and i really don't want to.

I hate to see nice people being taken advantage of and it sounds like you are both - nice & being taken adantage of. - - - I have to agree with what Abandoned said. - - - As a single female, I found men very expensive and never had one that would keep a job for long at the time. It took me a long time & several men (LOL) but I finally decided it just wasn't worth the effort and the $$$. - - - It would be nice to have companionship but at some point you just have to make sure you take care of yourself first. - - - You're not a slave to the WTS anymore - don't let yourself be a slave to anyone else either. I wish you the best whatever you choose.

What do I do with all this WT literature?

i only plan on keeping a few of the older books with the really insane, humiliating crap, like sewing machines being a sign of the last days.
what should i do with the rest?

They're afraid of their own literature??? LOL - - - I sent my JW sister the info above and got back a package of copies from JW's - Proclaimers of God's Kingdom. I'm not familiar with that book. Looks like they have tried to debunk all the errors they have made over the years in that book. She also sent a few paragraphs from The Reasoning Book but I can't tell what page is it. The subtitle is Have not JW's made errors in their teachings? It explains/justifies their errors.

I was concerned when I saw this new CD. I just went to his website, www.joshgroban.com, to see if it mentioned anything JW. Talking about one song he wrote, he says "... it just came to me in a half hour in the most magical way." - - - Doesn't sound like something a JW would say. - - - The first time I saw Josh he was a guest on Ally McBeal show. He was a high school kid that was shy and didn't have a date to the Prom. Ally ended up going to his high school Prom with him. I forget the story but he ended up on stage at the Prom and sang one of his songs. - - - it gave me goose bumps. He sings like you would expect an angel sound. - - - He sings in Italian, Sanish & English. I think his first CD is the best. I bought Awake but haven't heard all of it yet.

I have ordered several books from www.half.ebay.com. You can search for books by entering the title or author. Some of the books are used, some new. All the books I have ordered came in very good condition. I just ordered Combatting Cult Mind Control (Steven Hassan) last night and it only cost about $3.00 + shipping. Copies of Crisis of Conscience (Raymond Franz) are usually always available too at good prices. Note there are a few revisions to CoC so you may want to go with the latest. I read the first but have not started the latest revision yet. . . . Welcome to the board.

I watched a National Geographic show on cable tonight about the Bible. It had a piece about Abraham getting ready to kill his son because Jehovah told him to. . . . It reminded me that as a child hearing that story I thought my father would kill me too if Jehovah told him to. He was just a faithful as Abraham. (Another unpleasant childhood memory returns.)

Knowing my sister, I feel she sincerely believes it was demonic. She suggested that I be careful what I read. . . . . Not too long after I started posting on JWD I would be sitting in bed in the dark watching TV and my ceiling fan and light would both come on. (I mentioned this on an earlier thread.) Creepy! . . . A few days ago an electrician was here checking something else and I told him about it. His first question was "Does it have a remote?" - - Apparently its not uncommon for the remote to do this. I took the battery out to see.

SECOND Demon - - Not thinking, I gave my sister a book - - One of “The Cat Who . . .” books. The main character is a Siamese cat that has some psychic powers. She said she read the dust cover and noticed the cat has mystic powers so was afraid to take the book in the house. She left it in the car. A day or two later when she got in the car she cranked up and all of a sudden her car radio came on at full blast and scared her to death!! . . . It had never done that before. . . . After that, it would come on by itself at full blast while she was driving down the road and scare her. . . . She said, After that happened a few times she chunked that book out the window and her radio never did that again.
