Could it be stress or a nervous breakdown?
by Chameleon inok, in december '07, i was a little freaked out about what could happen to you if you don't pay on your student loans.. i calmed down when i found out out i don't owe that much.. in january '08, i had food poisoning for the first time.
that passed in two or three days.. in february '08, i had food poisoning again.
that passed in two days also.. however, that same week i got home from work one day, and slept for 10 hours straight.

the first time it was because i ate the skin of a fish; i wasn't paying attention.
the second time i'm not completely sure, but i did eat a big hamburger for lunch, and then dinner in the same day.
what kind of tests?

However, that same week I got home from work one day, and slept for 10 hours straight. It was a Wednesday afternoon and I didn't wake up until the following morning, on Thursday.
I woke up, not with a pins & needles feeling, or a "fell asleep" feeling, but a decreased sense of touch. Not just in my arms and legs, but everywhere. I pinched myself as hard as I could, and I barely felt it. I made an appointment at the local clinic to discuss this.
By the time I went, I was back to normal. The lady (I think she was a nurse, not a doctor) said "Oh, you're fine now."
They drew blood just in case it was a thyroid problem, or anemia, or high blood pressure. I had to go back to discuss test results in two weeks.
I went, and they said my blood pressure was a little high, but other than that, I was fine. This was on Wednesday. A couple of days prior to Wednesday, I had this odd mental feeling. It wasn't dizziness, vertigo, or loss of balance, but I know something's off.
I've never had health problems and I just want to feel normal again. Any suggestions?
I made an appointment at my school's health services clinic, to get a second opinion from a physician, but that's in two weeks.
I just want peace of mind again, and I don't go to the E.R. because of the long wait, I'm poor, and I have no health insurance, and the doctor probably wouldn't check my head. I'm 22.
Should I get an MRI scan? I just want to make sure my brain isn't bleeding or have a tumor or anything, or had a stroke in my sleep. =(
I seem to feel better when I sleep or lay down. I have trouble concentrating at work.

Everything was fine.
I asked what could've been the cause of my symptoms, but they said it was probably something I ate.
Oh well.

Any Jericho Fans?
by CaptainSchmideo intonight was (apparently) the final episode, as cbs has made the incredibly brain dead decision to cancel it.. i liked it.
the conspiracy plot kinda dragged on and on, but some of the other subplots and ideas (especially about the corporatization of america, and the obligation of citizens to reject a government that no longer represents the interests of the people) were not normal television fodder.. oh, well.
it was a good experience while it lasted..... .

Heard of it.
the premise sounds interesting, but i never saw an episode.

i was ok in a couple of days, although i had a headache for one day.
in feb., i got food poisoning again. i don't know the cause of it, but i did have a chili burger/chili cheese fries for lunch, and again for dinner.
i was ok in two days, but as soon as that went away, i woke up one morning with a decreased sense of touch. that went away in a week or two.
approx. a week ago, i've been feeling strange, not dizzy, or vertigo, but i know something's off. my sense of balance is ok, but i have no idea how to explain what i feel. sometimes i feel very tired.
i looked up my symptoms online (bad idea), and i saw things ranging from diabetes or MS to...a brain tumor. holy sh--, I'm only 22.
so i guess what i'm asking is, have you had this symptom before, and what was the cause of it? i suspect i might be diabetic, and i'll find out tomorrow at the clinic with blood test results.
