i have better perception and have shed the delusions of watchtower theology.
In our area JWs sometimes give talks at schools with a question and answer section at the end via the religious eduction department.
If the schools in your area are agreeable to that kind of thing there may be an opportunity to warn through talking about cults/high control groups and how they recruit.

a man i knew very well at work, who i even traveled to mexico with on a company trip, is a muslim from afghanistan.
he told me once, "never trust any muslim, as they will not tell you the truth about themselves until it is too late.
" i found this interesting as this man was muslim.
Don't beleive the propaganda, the US is not fighting to help these nations or people, it is all about oil, money, and big business profits.
Yeah but at the end of day its bringing world attention to the problem of fundamentalism and extremism within the muslim world
I really feel for the women and children who are trapped there. Huge suffering going on.
I'm not saying sending troops there is the answer - just commenting on the situation as it is.

religion is following orders by implicitly trusting someone or something.. science asks questions.. religion purports to answer questions.. science seeks to disprove its own conclusions.. religion seeks to reinforce its own dogma.. science is error-correction toward adjusting for realities as they unfold.. religion internalizes against reality by mocking up a substitute.. science is the most recent development of the human mind.
technology proves science to be successful in advancing human progress.. religion disdains human progress and waits for the end.

once i was old enough to realize the meetings were not a place to play and run around i understood the gravity of my situation.

there were other people who either killed themselfs or tried to kill themselfs while they were at "the house of god.
one person who did kill himself was richard wheelock, press room overseer ......he jumped out of a window at the watchtower farm one day.......it seemed, he was never quite the same after his wife "willy" died..she seemed to be the only one that he could relate to.......which would make sence.....because he sure couldn't relate to any of us in the press room..........he would come over to our press and say "here is the work... get in out".......then just walk away.......he was not the type of person you would really want to talk to anyway......but wouldn't it be nice if just now and then, like every year or two, they might ask you how you were doing?.........you laugh.......but its true......i asked a friend of mind who was the press operator of press # 6 which at the time was one of the three biggest presses at bethel.
he had been in the press room for 4 full years.
