  this freaking sucks

  it's christmas eve, i still have wrapping to do, go to my mil's to help her set up, and i'm sick.. cough, cough sick.

  spent 3 hours in bed, just got up.

  finally feeling a wee better.. yet still tired and coughing.

  there is apparently rampant apostacy in my ex kh

  my friend called and told me there were 3 announcements last night at the kh saying x, x, & x are no longer jw's.

  they all da'd themselves.

  all 3 sent letters out to a select group of friends and family before they gave their letters to the elders.

  this is something i think i can say to the two elders that might eventually meet with me.

  because i am not going out in service and miss many meetings, and because they were.

  instructed to "snatch me out of the fire" by the wts headquarters when i resigned as an .

  Onthewayout, I have privately asked something similar and have been told

  order and unity is paramount

  because god is a god of order and not of disorder

  so all jws must believe the same thing at any given time

  therefore it does not matter if its right or wrong or if its going to change

  so long as everyone believes it at the same time

  be prepared for that one.

  (its a quick step dance imho)

  Need a little advice on this

  the owners of my business cannot meet payroll and have not paid a lot of bills.. the owner of the place i used to manage wants me back at twice the salary i make now but doesn't want jake there.

  i accepted and jake is very upset.

  he wants me to look for something we can both work together and i really don't want to.

  Christian Pasciviscm Leads to Eternal Life?

  on another thread a poster suggested that jw's inherently are 'christian' due to restraint in the matter of not killing each other in warfare.. i personally view this as ludricous, as such non-violence cannot of itself mark christians any more than could the absence of chocolate in a hot beverage mark it as coffee without question.

  it is a riduculous assumption that leads to false acceptance of 'facts' that are not.. jeff .

  Hi Jeff

  The WTS like to draw attention to the fact that their neutrality and non participation in war is an identifying mark of true chrisitanity after all they view themselves as representatives of gods government. But look at the violence and oppression they heap on their adherents.

  Personally I would like to leave all matters of war to elected governments and then in that way we are at liberty to make a protest to our governments if we don't agree with what they are doing.

  Beliefs and sacred things are separate inmho.

  Think I'm a little off point here but do you understand what I mean.

  I believe the entire focus should be on Jesus as our Saviour.

  3. Never panic when seeing Witnesses

  anewme, no 3 is a good one for me. There are lots of witnesses living in my area and at present I tend to avoid going to places where i know the witnesses will be at any given time of the day.

  So no witness dominated thinking/restrictions on my going about my daily life .
