  Passive-aggressive behavior/posting

  having had a few days to reflect on this, and resolving some conflicts, i'd like to explore this p/a aspect of human behavior.. first off, let me say that i am oftentimes p/a, usually as an effort to elicit the deeper meanings of other people.. however, sometimes i'm p/a because i'm not really sure of where i'm going in a topic: my indecision presents a p/a.. and then there are times when i'm p/a, not even knowing it.. this last realization was presented to me by another poster, some time back, when he pointed out to me how often the wts uses p/a in their literature.

  i had never noticed it.

  it was just part of my upbringing, my conditioning, and i naturally adopted that "way" of behaving as normal.. so, as another little p/a post .

  i try to give both sides of issues a fair read.. all of you who have been convinced by scientific evidence that global warming has been caused by man and can be stopped by man should read the above.. how about specific comments pertaining to the above for a change rather than simply policy wank rants??.

  According to scientific estimates, the methane gas produced by cows is responsible for 4% of greenhouse gas emissions. And now, German scientists have invented a pill to cut bovine burping.

  The fist-sized plant-based pill, known as a bolus, combined with a special diet and strict feeding times, is meant to reduce the methane produced by cows.

  the first thing i did was to go in her basement .

  then, to feel right at home, i ate a home made poutine .

  our little town of 600 people was but a dot on the map.

  but that year was great.

  i saw great mountains, camped at elevation, redwoods, tasted pomegranates and olives from the trees they grew on, dodged black widows, explored and conquered the streets of a little town named patterson.

  hi freeedom fighters and free thinkers.. many moons ago when i was held captive i knocked on an old ladies door,she was hard of hearing.. i read the relevant passages to her from the bible ,told her that it is obvious we are living in the last.

  days [this was over forty years ago] and it was obvious she was confused ,i started to speak louder.

  and shouted" what do you think of all the trouble in the world?

  Someone to be Accouintable To

  growing up w a very demanding/strict/abusive father, and w the wt religion and the yhwh god, i always felt that i was accountable to those authority figures, 24/7.

  in my teen yrs, i had to leave home, so my accountabiblity to my father diminished.

  he was dffed a bit later on.

  Other than obeying the laws here in canada, i realised that i am accountable to noone.

  remember talking to a witness just before I stopped going to meetings last year. We were talking about how many teenagers leave the organisation. She was saying they have to learn about respect for authority - and that's what the organisation teaches, no body else does. She said there would be anarchy without it.

  Its only now that I realise that we do have and learn to respect legitimate authority - in the form of the laws of the land. that's all that's necessary.

  We don't need to superimpose more rules and regulations upon existing ones - we are free. Couldn't see that as a witness.

  has any jw said anything to you about the eunice spry evil jehovah's witness foster mother case?.

  are you in a congregation still and heard anything said by the rank and file jws?.

  i visited my jw parents yesterday.

  when one is in the situation its nigh on impossible to be rational - as when you are witnessing abuse and are related to the abuser. Glad you and your sibling are getting help.

  However nowadays people are more enlightened about these issues and more family members are reporting. Hopefully it can only get better with more light being thrown on it

  Organisations on the other hand are culpable.

  Also JW teachings make a bad situation much worse because their teachings and way of going about it is abusive in itself. On top of that they discourage seeking outside professional help and encourage secretiveness.
