i am tired of being told that gods will is for there to be a paradise earth.

Therapy or Counseling for ex-jws

i am in the beginning process of trying to "fade" and have been dealing with depression and anxiety for a variety of reasons for a long time.

does anyone know of resources for finding counseling that is appropriate for someone like me?.

i have never been to a therapist and am afraid that they won't understand the unique issues of a person who is.

Any time a human being cuts himself or herself away from a thought system, it's easy for a vacuum to form; and with it, depression and lack of direction. Stay in touch with significant others, especially Jehovah Himself. Just because the Society became corrupted doesn't mean, God became corrupted. i was earnestly praying to serve jehovah and give him my all.. in short order i found i was heading toward the unthinkable.

i was on my way out of the watchtower and the only life i had ever known.

The reason I had to leave the JWs is that I had the bald-faced nerve to write to Bethel and ask a question about the Greek Interlinear translation. Bethel wrote to my local congregation and told them to disassociate me. They did that without my knowledge or consent. That was thirty years ago. I have never left Jehovah, I just serve him in solitude, myself, to the best of my ability. And the Watchtower Society is no longer my boss, no longer expects me to hand in a service report at the end of the month. My children are all blessed, and I am very happy. Emily Cragg

What I don't see anywhere on that site which is fundamental to Yahweh's history vis a vis humanity is the entire concept of COVENANT : Promise and Promise Fulfilled. Yahweh had a covenant with Adam to steward the garden. Adam defaulted on the deal, so he never got his planet. He had a covenant with Noah to build a boat on the side of a mountain. Noah fulfilled the Covenant, so his family was spared and lived on. He had a covenant with Abraham to become a nomad and write down his descendants, so that someday Abraham would come into property. He fulfilled the covenant to bring literacy into ordinary life, and so his children have "blessed the nations". He had a covenant with Moses to bring the Israeli people into property, if they adopted His Law. Moses fulfilled the covenant to bring Israel to the Promised Land, so Israel was established. He had a covenant with Yeshua and Yeshua's followers, for a Kingdom. Profane history does not support the Covenant by the kingly line of Israel; however, the story goes that Telphi, daughter of King Zedekiah, became queen over Ireland in 853BC; and thereby the Kingdom came to pass. Nowhere in the Pagan mythologies is there ANY God-Personality making a DEAL with human beings. Noplace. I'll stick with Yahweh's Covenant of the Kingdom, thank you. Emily

hello in conversation today with brother-in- law who is still in the borg.he said while he may have questions about the whole god issue he doesn't know of any other religion that refuses to kill their fellow believer if politicians say you must.

that is a strong plus point for him on the virtues of the wt.

We must remain close to the Holy Spirit, to know what is true and what is not true.
