I like peaches
by jgnat inlooking at the different ways my sister and i approach life, i'd decided people are either peaches or they're lobsters.
my sister is all tough and crusty on the outside.
you'd never know if something is bothering her.

I'm coming out on my blog.
by Abandoned inno, i'm not talking about being gay, although if i was, i'd come out about that too.
no, i'm talking about coming public about having been a jw and explaining why i feel the jw is a dangerous cult.. now, i don't have a huge readership on my blog, but i've never talked about my jw past to anyone outside of that organization or this board.
i would love to hear any advice from those who have been out and successfully dealing with the mental and emotional abuse that the jw poured out.

Repulsed by the thought
by serendipity inyesterday, i was cleaning out the dark recesses of my purse and found the blood card.
i was going to throw it away but stopped.
after doing some research on blood in the bible, i no longer believe in the jw blood doctrine.

not having read all these posts , but the first thing I threw into the trash when I left the WtS was that ruddy piece of ...... the blood card .
Forever gone ..... Thank God

Is Jehovah evil? Overheard at the public talk.
by Zico ini heard a new teaching from the public talk today that i'd never heard before.
the speaker asked a rhetorical question, asking if jehovah would be evil for killing 6 billion people during armageddon?
(yes, he actually said, killing 6 billion people) he then followed it up by saying 'yes!

Ok I'm angry now .................. of course it's evil........... @@@@ing evil , he knows it as well , forget the rhetorical question!

Great crowd in the first century ?
by ninja inare there any watchtower references to there being any members of the great crowd in the first century?...or were they all of the "144000" until 1935?
...

It simply beggars belief that the 144.000 was not sealed until 1935, that is my favourite doctrine when debating with JWS.

Help needed
by return visitor inin reading coc i learned that prior to the 1980's it was ok to speak with disassociated witnesses and that this was changed in the 1980's.
while i can find the article in the 80's that addresses the issue, i can't find anything that shows that it is a change.
can anyone direct me to something published by the organization that reflects their teaching before the change?.
