  Kinjiro you are the one that bought up racial differences initially, and you are right it doesn't have much to do with it - I used it as an example as it seems it was something you could relate too.

  Taste and preferance is involved to a great degree. Taste and preferance determine what you find beautiful. And yes the same applies to food, but let's not complicate matters as the issue still stands.

  Leaving the Burmese population out of it why do two guys from the same country find one of two women but not the same one beautiful.

  Yes our taste and preferance determine what we find beautiful, but getting back to the original question - WHY?

  If woman 'A' is beautiful to me; WHY do you think she's ugly?

  Kinjiro - that is only partly true.

  If "Your surrounding/bringing up defines your concept of beauty" was totally true then two brothers would find the same women beautiful - and that is not always the case.

  And of course there are plenty of "mixed race" marriages to prove this.

  I would agree - beauty is in the eye of the beholder - that however is not the point. The point is WHY whatever culture you are from and whatever you find beautiful - the question is WHY. What makes someone beautiful to you as opposed to ugly?

  does anyone know about the legalities of sending a letter when you move congregation, that in many cases contains a pack of lies about you and claiming they can't show you it as it's 'confidential'?

  Just about everyone I know that has asked to see it has been refused. So what's the next step if you ask and are refused.

  .... although they apparently should tell you if they have written anything 'derogatory', not that it seems you can do anything to change it.

  That's interesting as I heard that the 'society' tell the BOEs NOT to show the letter citing the 'confidentiality' clause, 'between elders'

  Don't forget the ripoff merchants who run www.meander.co.uk Check out the extortionate prices they charge. And as for the British Museum tours (that are used by the branch). The British Museum is free to visit yet they have a compulsory donation included in their price. They use brothers to conduct the tours (elders and pioneers) who do it for free yet expect donations (and count the time as service) and they still expect you to pay for the privilege as well. And of course you have to dress as you would if you were going to a meeting.
