  Aztecs had Truth?

  jw relative watched history channel show on aztecs.

  aztecs predict world will end in 2012.. my question is, "if the aztecs had the truth, shouldn't we be playing violent organized sports and sacrificing virgins?".

  anyway..... please help me with a reply to my overzealous jw relative who badly wants the end of the world...or to prove to me that it's near so i get my tail back to the kh.. skeeter.

  Do Witness Teenagers take the Organization's Rules Seriously?

  mrs. flipper was curious about this , because i have two daughters still in the org.

  my son 22 is like me and faded from the org.

  so give us your opinion .

  I'm not allowed to do any bad stuff. But that doesn't make me want to either...
  
  I don't wanna drink, or smoke, or have lots of sex (Just a little bit of sex is fine :P ) .
  
  But I don't ever study or answer. Or prepare for my talks (I can read good enough that they say "I can tell you prepared" its so lame) .
  
  
  Does that make me weird that I'm not super rebellious?

  Depressed witness going door to door

  this morning i saw a witness mother and her son heading out into service.

  from the area they were in i think they were going to be doing some street corner work.

  i was stopped at a light when they walked in front of my car.

  I know someone who had premarital sex. They took it super hard, but the one they did it with didnt seem to mind as much...
  
  
  But all my teenage freinds are just fine submitting in *nearly* every way. Nobody wants to leave, which struck me as odd, since apparently everywhere else in the country, teenagers do want to leave.

  I hate needing freinds, yet the only ones I can have would stab me in the back at a moments notice.
  
  Also, I never got anything like a 'family day'....ever. I've gotten 2 gifts in my life from my mother since I 'graduated' kindergarten. That was my first and last party that was only for me.
  
  When we moved away from home, we had a party, but there were no gifts.

  I actually remember correcting a teacher about the way the Earth moves in 3rd grade.
  
  It's complicated to explain how she got it wrong....I'll give it a shot.
  
  
  She said seasons came from the ends of the earth spinning. The Earth's tilt does not change, but in spinning around the sun, different portions are exposed to varying degrees of light.
  
  She was demonstrating it with a globe, and she was spinning the whole thing around. The Earth just rotates ON it's axis. The axis doesnt move (Technically it does, but really slowly. not fast enough to make new seasons. :P )

  Mom used to let me sleep on the floor :P .
  
  Those are my FONDEST memories.
  
  
  I also remember the day she stopped me doing that. And I wasn't allowed to sleep on the floor since...
  
  Also, I remember throwing up on the chair, and getting in trouble because they thought I was faking sick....
  
  
  Because a 6 year old knows that when you stick your finger in your throat, you might throw up (I didn't at the time :P ) . Btw, I wasn't faking :P .

  Taking control of my life....this is what i'm gonna do.

  as many of you may know, i'm currently an ms and pioneer, and been missing meetings consistently for almost 2 months.

  i have been concerned about my dad's reaction to me wanting to leave the org and he's been questioning me about missing meetings.

  well i've decided now not to jump through the elders' hoops anymore.
