As far as I've heard, Baghdad was taken largly in part by dropping a MOAB next to the city. It's just a step down from a nuke, no nuklear material, but really big explosion.
It makes you wonder...if they had dropped it in an empty place, there for the japanese to see, would they have surrendered? The could have used the second bomb if that didn't work.
Either way, the allies won. Sadly, at the loss of civilian casualties.
But now Japan is cool, and we love each other :P .

Repulsed by the thought
by serendipity inyesterday, i was cleaning out the dark recesses of my purse and found the blood card.
i was going to throw it away but stopped.
after doing some research on blood in the bible, i no longer believe in the jw blood doctrine.

I got angry once I told mom that I hated it all. She had given me my blood card a year or so before then for some reason. Well, I found it, tore it up, and set it out for her in a fit of rage (was very mad ^^).
Well, she saw it, came to me on the verge of crying.
She told me it was a legal document. She had signed it for me, or something. Anyways, legal sumsuch.
Made me feel terrible to see her like that though...:( .
If I ever get into that situation, am I able to veto her decision? I'm sure she'd let me die, as terrible as that is to say. Dad is worth more than I am, and if I die, god will be that much more willing to let her live forever, and for him to be resurected.
The way I see it, even if I can't 'get past' the blood card, the doctor would work with me. I hope I'm concious if that happens... -

Sorry about the 2 letters :P .
I think it was written 'stories' because we all remember that good old book: "My book of Bible stories."
But that would mean that the society realises they are just stories, and not fact... Or maybe their dictionary is different from ours. Or maybe yours is :P . Who knows ^^ ? -

What do you think about gays and abortion now.......................?????
by vitty inwhen you saw the wt for what it was and realized it was not the truth, how did that affect your thoughts on subjects like homosexuality or abortion for example.. did you start to think differently suddenly or did it take a long time ?.................or maybe you havent changed your minds on what the wt condemns.. i was quite shocked at how i accepted my teenage son was sexually active and i talked to him about condoms and this being an important thing in his and gfs life and where they sure they were ready.
i didnt tell him not to do it !.
actually i think i always had my thoughts on different subjects that werent in line with the org, i just pushed what i really thought to the back of my mind.. there are many different subjects name one that you relate to.. .

Gay guys? No problem.

Lesbians? I want an invitation ^^ .

But abortion is tricky. Automatically I think it's terrible, but then I realize there are circumstances. Like rape.

If I had a girlfreind or wife that got raped (NEVER want that to happen), and she got pregnant...I'm not sure what I would do. I would support her either way. But I'd try and encourage her to keep it, unless she really didn't. You shouldn't kill a defensless child (It would be my duty, and hers to defend an unborn child). That baby is still a baby, genetics or not. Just because he exists through something so terrible, doesn't mean he's guilty.

Things are so bad that people are dieing from having too much food!
by Elsewhere inthe wts loves to talk about "how bad things are getting", yet they always fail to talk about problems like this: there is now so much food available in the world that people are dieing from eating too much.
for the first time in history there are more obese people than starving people.. .

This discussion board is just the medicine I needed
by Backed away ina big thank you to those who created this board and for all the amazing people who post here.. truth be told (no pun intended) i have seen other religious boards out there but never felt compelled to join since i didn't feel qualified to speak one way or the other regarding their beliefs.
this board is another story.
i was raised as a witness but never thought so many people all over the world had a similiar past as i did.

Can you adopt me? :P .
I too am thankfull for some things. No drugs, acohol, or trouble with the cops. But being lied to is not the way to teach children right from wrong. There are better ways to raise children right, and no field service time required (mom counts any bibles studies she does with me as time...good thing we don't do that anymore, or else she'd get bonus time for all the arguing we'd do) . -

A 'battle' is won
by Anony-Mouse inmom has commented twice recently that she is attracted to men with gotees.
anyways, i read here that beards are not at all banned in the bible (every picture of the bible folks they draw has bearded men), and that it was banned by some power hungery dude in the olden days of the jws (can't remember all those names, erased them from my memory).
well, i ask her if i can have one, despite never wanting that on my face.

I don't know why she does, nor will I ever.

Well, I ask her if I can have one, despite never wanting that on my face. She of course, says no.
I ask why, and she says its not 'culturaly acceptable'. That's the thinest explaination I've ever seen her give, and she didn't defend it.
Both times she stopped talking to me entirely. It's obvious she know's its a stupid rule. Beards never seemed to 'stumble' people when Jesus was around.
Anyways, next on the list is blood. I've been reading a lot about it around here, and it sounds like something good enough to make her think. Maybe a "Can I donate blood?"
I have no diseases, and it might actually help someone...and I've always been curious about my blood type :P . -

Emerald and the Treadmill~ Mothers chuckle!~
by Sparkplug inok, she told me she learned a valuable lesson.
that is:do not turn the treadmill up past nuber 3. number 10 is for fat people.
(my brother said she went completely horizontal before landing on her face...on speed 10) lmao it is so sad really.

Her eyes look just like mine :O .
But I don't remember having a kid...
Nor have I ever had the urge to flip out on a treadmill.
Must be a CLONE or something :P .
Cute kid ^^ . -

Lot and his daughters, lol.
Elijah and the kids. Yeah, it reads like it was 2 or 3 kids, then the bears went off and ate "40 of thier number". I guess Elijah forgot to turn the bears off after the first few :P .
But that's always been my favorite. God hates children ^^ . -
