  When has Science Ever been proven wrong by the Bible?

  the watchtower sunday made a claim to the effect that when science conflicts with the bible, the bible has always been proven to be correct.

  if i had been there, i would have asked "could you provide some specific examples"?.

  i'm thinking that reality is actually the other way, science always disproves the bible.

  WTS and their legal costs

  does anyone know if the wts' lawyers are witnesses who work (volunteer for free) in bethel?

  or are they non-witnesses lawyers who charge the wts for their legal service?

  if the latter is the case, then, isn't the wts stealing from the dubs.

  I believe the scam works this way.They work for free for the WBTS,however the WBTS issues them a false invoice at going rate for Lawyers who then use this as an expense on their income tax.

  Example:When a new Kingdom Hall is being built.The WBTS says it will cost 200k.The brothers in the construction business ie electrical,plumbing,painting,lumber,carpet.All will donate material and labour at an inflated price so the can get a better income tax refund,because it'a all claimed as a chartable donation.That 200k K.H. is now 500k as far as the donations.Nice way to scam the honest tax people.

  I may be wrong,but dollars to donuts that some smuke that thinks he's a qualified carpenter that cleans windows will invoice the WBTS for $50 per hour for his effort.So he can take advantage of the tax provisions.Nothing wrong if done honestly.

  Q10 Education..So the Attorney (Lawyers), Engineers,Doctors,Nurses,Accountants,Computers programmers,etc at Bethel (World Headquarters of Jehovah's Witnesses) have had their minds filled with harmful propaganda.They should be disfellowshipped.

  Q14 When the FDS/GB of Jehovah's Witnesses prophecy of the generation that saw the events of 1914 would not die before the end would come.Who is telling half truth and lies.

  In 2000 WT end will come before OLD FDS dies off.Oh.new light (b.s.). in 2007 whole new change on FDS.

  Q17.They got this one right.The Apostates and Christendom do HAVE MORE WISDOM then the FDS.

  i have no doubt that some of them sincerely believe.

  but when i was a kid, growing up in the '80s, i didn't know of a single witness, myself included, who didn't believe the end was close.

  i realize that the book study news has been discussed ad nauseam, but i would like to join the fun.

  lots of potential reasons have been bandied about on the board.

  for example, legal liability for crimes/torts that take place at the bookstudy homes may make the society nervous.

  The GB said it was to save money for the R&F,high cost of gas.Why have big conventions,cost of traveling,hotel rooms, meals.Why have a special collection with a resolution for money to bring missionaries home for bigger international conventions.Book studings were located in areas where the R&F didn't have to travel far in fact a number walked.The GB said in their KM's home book studings was a protection when Satan attacks on J.W. at the end of this system.Help the R&F with costs I don't think so.Why,look at all the crap about working less more door-to door.Sell your house get an apartment go preaching Jehovah will provide if you put him first.Look at all the talk about materialism.If the J.W. are so well off that they have to constantly talk about materialism why worry about the cost of gas.

  Maybe it's about control.Maybe they will have quick build compounds /prisons for the R&F.Maybe they want the R&F to think the end is really close.Sorry R&F don't think for themselves.Dam they got me on this one.

  just got back from the assembly the bookstudy will be part of the ministry school service metting as of 2009. the cost of fuel is 1 reason.

  to many elders taking bookstudys time could be better spent on other things.

  family heads can now spend more time with there familys.

True they will say look at the signs in Matt.,Luke, world events etc since 1914.Explain,"This suggests that some who are Christ's anointed brothers will still be alive on earth when the foretold great tribulation begins." All over 100 years old,so they should be walking off the stage by now (gehenna).

  i think the loss of the book study will hit some like a death of a friend.

  it will mark the end of an era.

  it will forever change the religion of jehovah's witnesses and i believe the change is completely irreversible.. of course, most witnesses will be delighted by this.

  The br....less R&F slaves will bow down and thank their masters (GB/FDS).Saying they are preparing for the end.However,I'am at a loss because a few years ago they were saying that the bookstudies were a place of refuge when the persecution starts.
