well, folks, this little mermaid just got back from the sad she had to attend w/her husband so as to keep a measure of peace (we're in the process of working out compromises...you know how it goes) i was pretty mad by the end of the day (thank god it ended at 4:00) mostly because i learned some new things that i would never have guessed in a million years.. did you know that satan is setting up artificial "refuges" as a counterfeit to jehovah's "true refuge"which is...his organization???

now satan's "false refuges" are pretty damn bad, like, for instance, "independent thinking.

And besides that, what conditions do they expect to be living under in the "New System" when no one has enough education to design a bridge, draw a building plan, or lay a roadway?

so i want to sign up for the virtual kingdom hall here: http://thekingdomhall.ning.com/, which i guess is a clean and safe place for brothers and sisters to join.

problem is, in order to be in approved association there, i need to know the first song listed in the july kingdom ministry for the meeting beginning the week of july 28. .

the site says only jws know this, so i was hoping one of you loyal brothers or sisters could help me out..

What year Did you Stop Attending Meetings - How Long were you a JW ?

i'm trying to compare some statistics and figures on this to share later in the thread to see if more long-time witnesses are exiting- or are newer witnesses exiting after a shorter period of time.

and - are more people exiting in the last 10 to 15 years than before.

so your answers would be helpful in looking into this .

Started attending in 1974 because mom was sucked in.

Baptized in 1994 under duress. Never pioneered, and just put in token hours to avoid being bothered.

Stopped attending 'cold turkey' in 2000.

i'm ploughing through "religion and the growth of western culture" by christopher dawson which is the classical study of medieval civilization and lord clark's "civilisation".

i am amazed that the wt can survey the same period of history in 26 pages in "mankind's search for god".

they are masters of precis, them bible students !
