  While true Christains may not take whole blood, they may take any of a number of blood fractions that the Faithful and Discreet Slave has determined through their communications with those who have been resurrected to heaven (as seen in the vision given to John by JesusChrist.)

  And just to illustrate the above point, let's say your doctor places you on a sugar-free diet. He may then consult with a specialist who would allow you to consume fruits as a part of your diet. Fruits do not contain processed sugar, but fructose. Surely your doctor and the specialist also see the need for you to have other important nutrients that fruit contains e.g water, vitamins, and fiber. This allowance would be out of genuine concern for your health.

  P.S - Fructose IS sugar. This illustration is really a load of crap, but so is all the information for the talk too.

  it has long been pointed out by apostates, myself included, on this board and others that if the jw's really believed the end of this "system of things" is coming, why are they not making practical efforts to prepare.. .

  the only thing the watchtower and awake will be good for after this believed meltdown is toilet paper!

  2007- Witness Meetings= Why can't women wear pants/trousers??

  when my mum went to her first meeting she was dressed to perfection, she wore nice ladies dress trouser/pants.

  the witness stuying with her told her it was "not apropriate" to wear this to the meeting...in 2006 i was in a congregation where a sister would put a skirt on over her pants she wore to work.

  it looked weird, but the pants ban still is in force 2007.

  I've seen a few Sisters™ of East Indian heritage wearing the traditional pantsuit and tunic outfit at all meetings.

  That's true. When they wear them (shalwars), it's "ethnic". When we wear them, it's the garbof a man .... and therefore not allowed.

  Avoided the Meeting

  well, they wanted to talk about something, but i didn't have the time to meet with them, and luckily, one of the two who wanted to meet missed the meeting himself anyway, so the other said they would reschedule.

  i told them that last night would have been the best possible time to meet for a while, since my workload is picking up and i will simply not have time on my hands, so whatever it is, it will have to wait a while.

  i think i might just stop going to meetings for a while and stop answering my phone and door.

  How many JWs?

  i know the wts wants to hit 7 million jw publishers and i think that it will go over 7 million but how much beyond 7 million will it go?

  we see a slow down in the preaching work and the innoculating effect that the internet has.

  the jw virus is not as potent as it used to be.

  Will the number of JWs peak and then go down or will it just peak and stay at a certain level?.

  Who's to say those published statistics aren't doctored in the first place anyway? If they want the figures to exceed 7 million ... they will.

  i am growing paranoid while at the same time welcoming this.

  What if I just refuse to answer the questions? Will they see that as non compliance and still drum up a committee?

  I believe that would be giving them ammunition to use against you. If you have intentions of meeting with them, just tell them what they want to hear.

  If you don't want to meet with them .... skip the meeting, and apologise profusely for missing it if they call again. After this, tell them YOU will call them to arrange a convenient time. Of course they'll be stuck waiting for that fateful call ...

  How Would You Handle Your Daughter Dating A Different Ethnic Person?

  i know of someone who's daughter is dating a young man from the bahamas.

  the girl is 20 and he's 24 and was already married to an australian woman 10 years older than him.

  he has no use for his crack addicted mother and he tolerates his younger sister that seems to be on the same course as her mommy.

  If she were my daughter, I wouldn't be too pleased with the situation as you described it. Not because of the guy being of another ethnic group, but simply because she may be too young and inexperienced to realize his true colors.

  If it were just a case of my daughter dating someone of another race ... I'd give her my blessing! She'd just be following in her mother's footsteps!
