hi everybody and happy new year.
2007 is the year i turn 40, in fact in exactly one month's time to be precise.. i've noted that a lot of people on jwd are a similar age to me.
i think it's because it takes us this long to pluck up the courage to finally leave the borg.. i need to know how turning 40 makes you feel.
I want to countdown with all of you! January 30th is when I turn the big 4-0...but I've joined the 40 is the new 20 club.
Regrets are not having children and all the years involved in that religion...you know the one. Anyway, thanks to everyone here, I see many more positives in my life and lots of potential for wonderful things to come in the future.

i'm worried because i sent a christmas card plus had a gift sent by ups over the internet about 7 days ago and haven't heard anything.
i would feel really feel bad if my person didin't receive their gift or card.
so i think we need to have an official post place.
Yippie! I received my gift in the mail today. Haven't opened it YET...let's see how long that lasts. Many thanks to my Secret Santa.

I received my first one from a fellow board member today. It was so exciting to see the envelope in the bundle of mail this evening.

i know that thousands of you have gone through the same thing i'm facing but right now it doesn't help.
i know that some of you have faced much worse - losing family through the blood issue or having to deal with abuse and i know that in comparison my problems may seem not so severe but as bad as it sounds knowing all that just doesn't matter right now.. it started yesterday and there's no stopping it, the official shunning.
one member of the family right now will see the month end with me losing my sisters, brother and my mum.. i love them and i know that in a sense they are victims too but i just cannot reach them.

I'm sitting here teary-eyed right now. I'm so sorry that you are having to go through this. I was DF'd 16 years ago and lost my entire family. There are days when I experience that same gut-wrenching anger even now. My heart goes out to you and those here who are feeling this pain.

our friend hambeak just got the most dreaded phone call from his jw child.
the news was passed on as he was asked for by name and not as"dad" and let known that "they" just called to let him know that his other son, brian, age 26, is dead.
he was in a car accident.

three weeks ago i've had a car crash, someone reversed and ran right into me.. which, police said was my fault because i came from behind.. .
then, last week i saw a car flipped in front of me and hit the power poll.. .
and today .... this poor asian lady got disoriented somehow and rammed right into my drivers side.
I'm sending you bubble wrap for xmas. ;-)

after 2 months of old age and illness, 2 cancelled vet appts, hoping he would get better, tears, frustration, watching him not eat, throwing up, becoming skin and bones, justifying keeping him, i stuck to this morning's appointment.. he was with me for the last 12 years of my life and his life has been entwined in so many of the memories i have.. to tell you about him, would be an essay.
i just want everyone to know that he was so close to me.
in the end, i kissed him on his head, said, "good boy, you're a good boy" and he laid his head on my hands and went to sleep.. i love you and will miss your crazy dog ways.
