i hope well.

this is a subject i've been wanting to approach for awhile as i've noticed on the board at times there have been wisecracks about janitors who were jehovah's witnesses .

now , hey, i'm real, have a good sense of humor, and can take a joke like anyone, be the brunt of a good joke, hell, i laugh at myself when i work alone at nights- just to keep entertained !

Mr. Flipper, your posts are always filled with jewels like this, and you know that I love to read them! As someone who would rather do so many things rather than cleaning her house, I have great respect for anyone who would choose to do this for a living (and even enjoy doing it!) Hey, if I had the money, I would be hiring it all out!

However, I do wonder about the Witnesses who are pressured into taking on "night jobs" so that their days are free to pioneer, etc. What dreams have they given up in order to please Mother Organization? How devastated do they feel when they realize that they have been trapped in a cult? What regrets do they carry with them? That's where it bothers me...but I am glad for all those who are happy and fulfilled doing what they do for a living. I teach music and it is my passion! If I had to give it up just so that I could go to meetings and go out in field service...that would make me a very sad lady.

and petrified... i just recently became a pioneer and always had nagging questions in the back of my mind.

so, i decided that when i have get a study i would research all the questions as i go along so as to prove everything in the truth... i got 4 studies in about 2 months.

all was fine, until i reached i think chapter 6 in the bible teach book about the resurrection.

I was very sad to read you questioning whether Jehovah just didn't love you because you have all these questions, and everything seems unclear. QUITE THE CONTRARY! He loves you so much, He wants you to realize that you have been deceived by false teachers! He wants you to read the Bible with open eyes and see what His Word really says, not how it has been twisted by the men at Bethel. He wants you to know that you too can have a relationship with Jesus Christ, not just 144,000 mysteriously selected "annointed". I "studied" for a year with the local elders, and the more I did so, the more I saw that they were twisting the Bible to suit their own preconceived doctrines (which had changed so much over time that it left me dizzy. How can "truth" change so much?)

I will be praying for you and your hubby in the days ahead...send me a personal message if I can be of any help or encouragement at all.

As for the ark being a bad idea, don't you know that Noah is our great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great-great (well, you get the idea) grandpappy? If it weren't for him and the ark he built, we wouldn't even be having this discussion. You should speak more respectively about your relatives.

As for your other concerns, you should contact the Lord yourself about them.

Hi Oracle: mystery man of the WT! Sorry, I don't have a scripture to back up my statement. I am a bad ogre and should know better. I was assuming that 1000 rabbits didn't hop out of the ark. Perhaps the Lord just suspended their reproduction cycle because of the darkness, conditions on the ark, etc.? We know that stress and captivity does cause problems in reproduction for some animals. Or maybe Mrs. Noah served rabbit soup, rabbit stew, rabbit roast, rabbit on a pita etc. on a regular basis?

I you have a valid point as any. And I think we can go a bit further what if the LORD froze them all and then after the flood thawed them all out fresh as a daisy and full of life? Could happen. And that this ark was nothing more than a super insulated box which the LORD would occasionally blow on to keep them all frozen till the waters abated, and it was time to thaw them all out?? It's do able, I think requirring minimal effort from the LORD.

Silly billy, hibernation is an activity that we observe in nature and provides us with a plausible solution to the poop situation.

What if the Lord caused all the animals to fall into a type of hibernation state? If they were all sleeping, there would have been no poop to deal with. There would also have been no reproduction, which makes sense, as only 2 rabbits went in and 1000 didn't come out. Why not? He is the Creator, after all.

Zico and all: I want to apologize if I gave the impression that Truthsearcher called me any names. As English is not my first language, sometimes is kind of difficult for me to express myself.
I have been exchanging emails with Truthsearcher for almost a month, and she is one of the kindest people I've found here in the forum. She always have encouraging words for me, and I'm very grateful for her help.

TTRP: Thank you for the kind words, and for clearing up any potential confusion about my intentions with my questions. I certainly do not stand in judgement of any who are struggling with the best way to leave the Witness cult, rather, my heart goes out to you with the deepest of concern. I have a deep love for all those who are trapped in this destructive cult, and desparately trying to help their families and friends.

Because this is a discussion forum, I wanted to explore the way some of the newbies are feeling about field service. I suspected that despite the light hearted banter about padding time, there are conflicting feelings simmering below the surface. It can be helpful to talk about this conflict.

I think it is great if fs gives you some motivation to do extra Bible study. The more you study without the WT blinders on, the more that you will see the way that the Bible has been misrepresented by the Society. I would love to be an RV for you guys, so we could have a really interesting Bible discussion (plus I always bake something yummy, too :),,,and I have certain literature that you might find intriguing, written by some former brothers at Bethel

i like to read the km to see what the wtbts is saying, and then to think about what they really mean.. information appears in the km when problem need to be addressed in the organization.
