Does it feel good to be love bombed?

We were love bombed at the local KH---I had warned the kids ahead of time that it would happen, so we could chuckle about it after, but it was so intense, it was a little on the scary side (knowing that they were trying to lure us into the dark side...). It was definitely something that would be hard to resist, if you didn't know any better..."What wonderful people! How warm and friendly!!"

Ty, I am glad that you met up with some loving and caring Christians in your journeys...I am guessing that they were praying for you when they laid hands on you. Maybe to help free you from what was causing so much pain?

Preschooling at home any good sources or guidelines?

this year my husband and i decided to keep our 4 year old home to preschool him at home.

partly because of expense and frankly because the area we live in is not known for a strong school system or high standards : ( so i am going to tackle this, but if i am going to do it i want to do it right.

i do have some background in child psychology and early childhood development, but i am wondering if anyone has done this before me and has any advice or resources.

Have you seen the Core Knowledge materials "What your .....grader needs to know?" by Ed Hirsch Jr? I picked up the series on Ebay for a song, but you may find it in your library.

so- 2 weeks ago i got this private mail from a poster who had never posted on the jwd board before .

which seemed strange to me in , and of itself - what would cause this person to pm me ?

anyway a poster named oak sent me this message : under the title : " did you know ?

My JW Daughter Calls Me - First Time in 9 Months - Great Conversation !

as many of you know , me and my fading 23 year old son have been trying to reach out to my polite 21 year old jw daughter .

sending cards, letters , phone calls just to let her know we love her, miss her , and remind her of good family times we've had in the past !

not being pushy - just being authentic with her !

Mr Flipper: What wonderful news! I was just reading an answer to someone who asked how to talk to Witnesses, and the answer (I thought was so great)...love them, love them, love them, like they have never been loved by the dubs. I know as her Dad, you will be able to do this in a stellar way.

after the memorial, we decided to go out and grab a bite to eat.

my family and i went out with a witness couple that we consider close friends.

for the last couple of weeks, i've expressed my views re: wts to my good friend openly and turns out he had the same thoughts and doubts as well.

But I don't understand why Witnesses ignore this clear teaching from Matthew 22:

28 “In the resurrection, therefore, whose wife of the seven will she be? For they all had married her.”

now that memorial is past i hope that all is well for everyone mentally, physically, emotionally.

many were in a great turmoil as to feelings and what to do about.

going , so how are we all today?

I tell ya, it was SO STRANGE to see that plate & goblet just pass on down the line, person after person....and no one partaking.
Another thing that struck me...was now DRY & EMOTIONALLY DEAD the service was. I'm used to a church with spirit....lively music and everyone worshipping the Lord. I'm sorry....but this service was dry as stale toast.
Well, at least that cured my curiousity!

Amen sister. That's how I felt last year...
