  How do you cope with a zealous JW wife?

  i've been out for a little while now - fading was my chosen strategy.

  before then, elder for around 20 years - all the usual stuff.. why leave?

  (1) reading other material and thinking for yourself - never too late (2) couldn't stomach any more judicial committees where i had to preside over handing out edicts that were going to wreck peoples' lives (3) final realisation that i'm not going to let my children die because of the false 'blood' interpretation (4) nail in the coffin, which opened my eyes to the 'rotteness at the core' of the organisation, was the deliberate mis-quoting of scientists and others, to make a lie seem like truth.. anyway, my wife (both pioneered together) is as zealous as ever - more so now.

  Hi there. I went through the same thing with my ex JW wife. I totally understand. When we got back from our missionary assignment because of some bad stuff that happened to me, she went around at the next CA telling everyone that she feels like she just lost a child. (mind you, she never had kids, and it was totally disrespectful of those that had that happen) But thats the kind of nutcase JW's breed.

  It's been two years for you, and there is no doubt, as you are a former elder and know, that she is being coached. I have no answers. You don't have to do what I did, but at the same time, you do need to take care of yourself and be realistic and pragmatic.

  i am sort of digging the olympics.

  plus, i used to live in a state that really should be annexed by canada anyway, michigan.

  but i love hockey, autumn, maple syrup, and cold weather.

  I grew up only a few miles south of there. I'll bet you dollars to donuts we have probably met at the Assembly Hall on Griffin Road. Hell, we were even born the same year.

  Were you in the same circuit with Jimmy Pasacarella and Clare Gullickson? I bet we did meet.....

  Fred Franz is trying to buy his way out of Hell by selling his books! The madmen have shaved off Russell's beard and forced him to actually have sex for the first time! With a duck!

  Farkel we all create our own hells. Franz is probably around 50 Catholic female massage therapists. I have no doubt that Russell has by now heard of Aflac.

  My hell would be living in a world with only VH1. Nothing but "reality" TV 24/7.

  Not hard at all. Just gimme a big ring and we can get hitched next weekend. We can honeymoon in Cuba.

  Cool. I hope polygamy is allowed in Canada. That would be about perfect..

  I bring this up half because I couldn't think of a joke to attach it to, but I swear, Franz had a man crush on Knorr. Everything he wrote with his idiot antitypos were all to show how Knorr was chosen by YHWH to lead gods people.... And that it was "prophesied" in the bible.... (gag)

  Still boggles the mind that millions of people have been directly affected by the meandering idiotic thoughts of this mad man, the WTBTS chief scholar, Fred Franz. That is scary.

  Speaking of improv logic, here is a Fred Franz (butt) nugget

  Lawrence Bowen, who was once a protégé of Franz, told our class at Gilead that according to Franz (yes, he quoted the quack) it was clear that if Jehovah didn't confuse the languages at Babel, mankind would likely have come up with the technology we have today, including electricity and nuclear technology.

  Obviously, mankind, having conquered the barriers to now construct 10 story buildings, were on the doorstep of splitting the atom, and thus, Jehovah stepped in to create other languages besides Hebrew. Being the tricky god he was, he even created languages with *gasp*, vowels.

  Thats cool. Thanks Arwen. So you all are snowbirds eh? I grew up in Hollywood Fla. During each winter, the amount of Canadian men in Speedo's shot up rapidly. I only remember this because we did street witnessing on the beach and I had to offer WT's to them all the time.... Thats tough on a teen...... ;)

  I will consider it in about 20 years, when I want to retire. Actually I want to retire now, but I can't...
