  Thanks JGnat, Just to confirm that any cheques should be made to Haemotology and Transplant Unit, and they should be sent to Silletts Funeral Directors, Spring Lane, Radcliffe, Manchester, M26 2TQ. I think if you can pop his name somewhere with the cheque too, so they can tell whose family it was made on behalf of... Hope that makes sense... and thank you in advance. Steph xx

  Hello everyone,
  
  Thank you all for the great messages you have written, both publicly and privately. It figures that the one time I start a topic and it turns into 10 pages long, it's about my dad!!
  
  The funeral will be held next Monday, December 29th, at Radcliffe Crematorium. It will be at 11.15am. I know several of you have asked about donations or flowers, and we have decided that if you would like to make a donation, please do so to the HTU unit at Christie Hospital, where my dad had a lot of his treatment. Any cheques are to be sent to Sillett's Funeral Directors, on Spring Lane, in Radcliffe, Manchester.
  
  Thanks in advance for that; we appreciate all your gestures.
  
  
  If anyone has any other questions please feel free to ask; I check in here several times a day to read your messages. Thank you to everyone who has BTTTd as well.

  i need to let you know that dad passed away this morning at 8am.

  he fought so hard but in the end they could not get his blood pressure to rise and he died of heart failure.

  Hello, thanks to everyone's messages. For some reason I find it easier to update everyone on here, stops me moping with my own thoughts.
  
  I will let everyone on here know about funeral arrangements when they arise, for those who would wish to attend; obviously some of you are thousands of miles away, but knowing you are thinking of my dad and our family is great.

  he fought so hard but in the end they could not get his blood pressure to rise and he died of heart failure.

He fought so hard but in the end they could not get his blood pressure to rise and he died of heart failure. My mum and my dad's sister, Sandra, were there at the hospital. I went late last night because my gut feeling said to say goodbye then, and not leave it, and I am so glad I did that because I wouldn't have made it. Thank you to everyone for their support over the last 24 hours. I will be in touch soon. My dad thought so much of you all. You were his lifeline. I told him about you last night. I gave him your love and best wishes. Thanks again. Steph xx

  just to let everyone on here who knows my dad, that he is seriously ill, and unfortunately on life support.

  he has renal and respiratory failure as a result of the quickest onset of pneumonia i have ever seen... it came on in the early hours of this morning.

  he is waiting for an intensive care bed but the nearest one is 200 miles away.
