The clip really instills fear mostly, stating at the end they were "believers" from the "gospel." I think the vast majority of Muslims just want a better life, especially for their children. Many are behind decades from 1st world cultures. Not too long ago here, Catholics had very large families. Some Muslims are already educated and most want better educations for their sons and also their daughters. I won't be here in 2050, but no doubt, people will laugh at our fear of Muslims then. Remember, not too long ago, when someone different moved into the neighborhood, was the expression, "well, there goes the neighborhood." We have changed in our prejudices and I hope will continue to do so. Good to read: http://www.prb.org/Articles/2008/muslimsineurope.aspx?p=1

I suspect JWs to win. $400,000 will be a chunk for the community to absorb. And more 'knock-knocks' Saturday mornings.

Is it possible that the WT society will soon collapse like a house of cards?
by BonaFide inthe recent internet phenomenon seems to be that 1. some news story breaks, and then 2. people start talking about it and twittering and forwarding emails about it.
and then it multiplies and multiplies until finally, 3. the whole world is talking about it.
the same with the madoff scheme.

I didn't think I would see the Berlin Wall go down like it did. Of course, many of the older Russians still miss Communism and old ways. Of course, several JWs will still hold on to their beliefs no matter, but its 'empire' is weakening.

Sales of Bethel premises and transfer of millions to Brooklyn ?
by Nick! insales of bethel premises and transfer of millions to brooklyn ?.
just heard a very surprising and unbelievable news which i want to share with you and ask whoever has the right connections higher up in the borg, if this kind of news can be double checked for reliability.. .
the source of the information is believed to be reliable as it seems to be intimately related to some officials of the branch.

Interesting. How many WTS branches are in UE countries? On the 2008 JW Statistics it shows a total of 115 branches.

Governing body member comments about new anointed
by Kosonen inhttp://www.jwbrothers.org/play_audio.php?audio=612.
i listened to the talk of samuel herd, a governing body member.
he says something like, many new anointed are real trouble-makers in the congregations.

This seemed to be confirmed when almost all who were baptized after 1935 felt that they had the earthly hope.
Here again, the literature (via Governing Body) is blaming everyone else who were baptized after 1935 that expressed to have the earthly hope which was the primary hope taught to those new ones. The manipulation was strong during that time and the teaching was strong that since that time (1935) most everyone had to be of the earthly group. So it was the Governing Body that created that circumstance of the earthly hope, not giving those new ones any opportunity to really consider the heavenly hope. Actually, it was the Governing Body that closed the heavenly hope door for JWs in 1935. It is nauseating how they blame their people for the problem the GB actually created. (Yes, it was the very same way about 1975, not taking the blame but blaming it on their own people).

my mother-in-law is a jw (not a fanatic).

It's really the 'same old same old' reality,,it's their ploy of semantics (according to Webster's dictionary), meaning "the exploitation of connotation and ambiguity (as in propaganda)".
