Unbelievable Experience in Yearbook
by gingerbread ina number of years back i heard a story of a young girl in a congregation ( i have some good friends in this hall ) who had an amazing field service experience.
it was so amazing that it was retold in the 2007 yearbook!.
it is retold in the highlight of the past year section.

I know of two people who had experiences about them and both told me there were things in it that weren't exactly so.

So, Whats the real reason JWs are no concessions open at the DC and are discouraged from supporting nearby vendors?
by BU2B inso ever since they discontinues the food service at the assemblies and dcs, jws have been "lovingly encouraged" to pack a light lunch to eat.
the secretary at the hall that i am held hostage in said during the service meeting that even a sub would be too heavy to eat, and that a light salad was the best option.
what do you fine people think is the real reason why, in the absence of food service, jws are told to not leave the building at lunch?

Must have been a lawsuit! someone ate something there, got sick or died. Lawsuits change wt policies/arrangements.
Or, WT population is aging. Many old folks, and not old, are on restricted diets.

As long as you look very happy, they don't bother you.
They just don't know what to do with that one. Aside, they may have some judgemental thought, what miserable ones they are!

The Bethel brother added that Losch was the only one on the GB that felt that way.
The GB should get together, and counsel Losch for going beyond the scriptures, and going against the GB 2/3 majority. If he doesn't submit, they should DF him!!

600 people up and left the DC after the 'apostate' talk?
by Julia Orwell inan 'apostate' inactive jw in america i know on facebook went to the dc and said fully 600 people left between the end of the apostate talk and the lunch break.
have any of you who also went to the dc seen something like this happen?

Interesting, that in that talk they used a scripture quoting the 'name' of that apostate back then. Why don't they quote the name of "Raymond Franz," a former Governing Body member disfellowshipped back in the '80s. Because, they absolutely 'fear' to mention his name as they fear it would create curiosity and questions in behalf of many rank & file. Afterall, he wrote books about the inner workings among the GB,, their real history and flip-flops. He was not arrogant, but of the humblest among them. He never developed, nor desired to, an organized religion from among them, but spoke the real 'truth' about the GB arrogant workings and manipulations.

I saw it,,it has been also shown on cable tv several times here. I enjoyed the movie, should be an eye-opener about the JW DFing issue and shunning reality. The real ex-jw shows in the conclusion, the actress playing the part smiles at a girl, blonde sitting in the train.
Shows also her older brother, who was DF'd, but going back to org to be back in the family. Just much struggle for whole family in different ways.
