dissonance_resolved,, wow,,thank you.. for outlining briefly but so clearly, how the GB utilize modulation and enunciation, and the methodology of their negative "stuff" (or beating up) one day and the next day of with 'feel good' stuff, encouraging stuff (kiss, kiss, hug, hug). This is how an abusive person controls their victims. Their mind control technique in a nutshell. Urghhhh!

Wow, Cedar, thanks for that video. I'll be forwarding that on to many exJWs that are not on this site. Boy, doesn't one just feel the love and joy after a talk like that!!! Oh my gosh!
Well, clearly, the WTS is DESPERATE on this. They see a lot of the rank & file are troubled about this. Many are not willing to throw the first stone at their family members getting DF'd. Or, they are so depressed about this GB "edict" imposed on them to 'shun' their loved ones. This is a burden that many cannot bear. The GB see their 'control' just won't work if members don't follow this, to this degree.
After hearing a talk like this, hopefully, that in itself will put the chill, especially for kids, in getting baptized anytime soon and make parents not push for baptism so strongly for a while. I would think even adult non-JWs in attendance would have a personal thought of 'whoa~' hearing a talk like that.

even with assurance that all data collected would not be traceable to the individual many would still not have the courage to answer any nagging doubts?
as corporation ceos they have to know what the morale of their employees really is, if they don't they are driving this corporation blindly.

The GB don't care about how anyone at Bethel is thinking about any of it. Any can leave Bethel, they don't consider any there to be indispensible.
If any are depressed, they (GB) don't care. At the most they have a psychiatrist to identify any possible suicide there, because suicide is just bad publicity for them. Headquarters sends any away if depression seems too apparant.
They don't fear for their control because of their arrogance.

Former Longtime Elder- Met up with a Former CO,DO
by James Jackson inat a convention recently, i met with don wallace, a former co and do.
he told me he came off the road 6 years ago and is living in scottsboro al.
him and his wife are in their late 70's.

how can one emphatically "preach" the end is 'so imminent, preach all to pioneer and 'eke' by, etc., not to worry about 'storing' up in this world or system, and then they personally (quietly/secretly) having a plan B all along, and end up being able to pay for a house in cash - "just in case." ??? good for him.
Well, no leaders (COs, DOs etc) ever expressed "just in case" verbally along the way. And then they tell the kids don't get a college education!
What do we call a person who preaches one way and does another!

Former Unbaptized Publisher, New Here
by GloomySunday informer unbaptized publisher, here.. i'm new to the forums and have hesitated for months to join this forum.
i was raised in a jw family, and was never baptized, because one of my parents didn't think i should be baptized early.. my mother became inactive, but i eventually went back for social contact, eventually starting a study.
i raised a few questions, only to find that the conductor would get irritated and defensive when my questions would get deeper into the topic.

Glad you never dedicated yourself to the organization!
Lucky for you, your father didn't give in to joining the org. too. Seems when one parent is out, it leaves a door or window open for many of the children to think themselves out also.

Another Suicide
by Billy the Ex-Bethelite inthere wouldn't have been any good way to hear the news i suppose.
it's just so strange to recall the conversation yesterday.
my "still in" parents are with me and my inactive sister having a pleasant conversation.

Very sad. The WTS doesn't help people at all, just makes people feel worse. We feel heavy in heart for their plight because we know the negativity and how incompassionate the leadership are as the heart of the leadership is short-circuited. Many are crying but they don't know how to sort it, as the WTS has taken too much away from them.
