hey everyone, i want to apologize for not rtesponding to a number of messages i recieved over the last month or so.
i took a break as suggested by someone else to try and sort things out and clear my head.
my wife has been reading alot on here and kept me updated on all the fun that has been going on!.
Sounds like the elders are the "confused" ones. They just probably don't want to DF you.
I know of one who left the org. The elders didn't want to 'approach' him either, he totally baffled them. Finally, for his kids, he put up Christmas lights. He was notified by a relative in a different country, that he was DF'd. He was never informed by the elders.
Well, Christmas is in a couple months.

Another site on Facebook under "Ex-Jehovah's Witnesses in Arizona." That site not very active recently.
Here in Phoenix there was a gathering (last month) a central AMC showing of "The Truth Be Told" documentary. I think 60 tickets were sold.
There are very many ex-JWs in the valley. Most don't attend the meetups, or just occasionally, but they go on with their lives, busy catching up with life, and enjoying life very much more than ever.
when you're part of a lovely big group of people who all seem to be happy in their beliefs, it's easier to quell your own doubts.
if i was the only person left in the congregation who still went on the door to door work, because every body else had stopped going , having said out loud what most think, ''it's a waste of time'', how long do you think before i too would cease going door to door?.
i know from my own perspective that having lots of fellow witnesses around me, steered me into making life changing decisions.

So glad for you that you have found freedom, a new life and have such a fulfilling talent for your work. Having your gift of humor and sharing that is such a healer. And glad you are in the Phoenix area. There are a couple areas, NW Phoenix and Chandler that have exJW groups that would really enjoy meeting you. Each group meet once a month and neither have any belief system agenda, but to encourage and personally understand.

About 50 seconds in,,the way he tightens his 'fists' up, and stating right to these graduates, to "bolster up" these congregations, just sounds like they are getting trained to 'trouble shoot' or fight or exert a lot of strength in these assignments.. I think the GB is expecting more future probs in congs.
i've noticed something that is very odd even by wt/gb standards.
why is mark sanderson suddenly so prominent in all things wt/jw?.
others have commented on the obvious narcissism of the gb pushing themselves to the fore recently, in particular after their huge doctrinal change at proclaiming themselves and only themselves as the faithful and discreet slave.. this is clearly true as evidenced at the agm, not only throughout the agm, but also in the video that was featured as part of that meeting.
The WTS is like a 'dragon,' needing new young blood. Without new or younger to pick up the slack, it will weaken and have a slow death.
Cults are often recruiters demanding a lot of work, needing new ones with more energy, than their tired out members. Starts from the GB, and down.
