  Conti Appeal Preview - Oral Argument Jan 14

  with hopefully a good deal of interest here in the conti appeal tomorrow (or later today, depending on where you are), i thought that on my ride home from work tonight i'd preview what to expect and what i think the key issues are for any who are interested.

  i have had a busy few weeks and haven't had time to read everything, but i had some time to look at the appeal briefs during my work commute the past couple days.

  it'll be interesting to see what develops out of the network news coverage of this case.

  Arguments show "submitted.".  I understand the Court has up to 90 days for decision.  Hopefully sooner.

  defendants argue that the affirmative duty imposed by the trial court impinges on their religious freedom.

  Oral arguments are suppose to be just 10-15 min. each side.  Not to be just more repeat of what had been said already.  Judge could ask question(s).  So normally short, possibly intense.  Then, sometimes, something could be extended, but rarely.   Then, the decision is to normally be done within 90 days or less, normally.  (From what I have read, but I am not an authority, perhaps someone else clarify more?)

  So tomorrow then?   Will ABC & NBC be 'airing' this partly?  Will they have the recording to access or does that remain with the Court only.  How soon will we be able to access this?

  So, can we expect ABC to report/air anything partially next Wed. with Court approval?   It would only involve the lawyers there to be videoed/heard by the Court.  Hopefully, soon after we will get a site somewhere for the 'full' report.

  Thereafter, I understand, the Court has up to 90 days for decision.  Hopefully less.

  I have so much respect for Ed Dunlap & Ray Franz as they chose not to die with a crisis of conscience. But stood by truth, and chose not to stand quietly to their death, but chose to have their freedom of truth, mind & heart. They chose to walk away from any 'glory of men' and Bethel comforts. For any GB or their 'helpers' with a crisis of conscience, their silence or 'winking' at Headquarters practices, and misrepresentations will only bring misery to them as they age. I will not have sympathy for them. I feel sorry for some of their hurting little ones who don't know better,,those trusting but weary and mostly miserable.

  DELIGHTFUL DROP IN MEMORIAL ATTENDANCES: 2011 VERSUS 2014!

  the us kingdom ministry shows the collective total 2014 memorial attendances of the countries that now comprise the us territory in 2014: 2,610,810.. those countries are: the usa, bermuda, jamaica, turks and caicos and puerto rico.. the same collective total for those same countries three years ago - 2011 - was 2,666,592.. that's a decrease of 55,782 from 2011 to 2014. i am happified.. while there has been the occasional year in which memorial attendances from one year to the next have shown decrease, this is a first: decline evident over a three-year period.. comments please!.
