http://www.herald.co.zw/lets-embrace-our-local-prophets-mzembi/.
let's embrace our local prophets; mzembisamantha chigogo herald correspondenttourism and hospitality industry minister walter mzembi has urged zimbabweans to honour their prophets instead of flying to countries as far afield as nigeria and ghana to look for salvation.speaking during celebrations to mark the world tourism day in harare last friday, minister mzembi said honouring local prophets would help attract tourists and boost revenue generation.we should put our faith in local prophets instead of having fellow zimbabweans flooding countries like nigeria, ghana and south africa for spiritual confrontations, he said.minister mzembi said the tourism sector required initiatives that attracted more people to visit the country.we should embrace our local prophets to promote their international mileage so they can easily attract more delegates into the country.
let them come to fill our hotels by visiting local prophets than us going to them.
i just wanted to say that my dear 89 year old mom is terminally ill and will soon pass.
she is on morphine and hanging on.
she has been a devout witness for about 60 years and a wonderful mother.
had a quick look at the workbook and flicked through the sample meeting video.. the increased use of video shows the trend for more centralised dissemination of "best practice" .
sure there isn't really a "school" any more and the format is a bit different but i think those that called it as the same old crap just in new package got it pretty much right.
.
i just can't shake this odd thought...
They have no where else to go. They are most addicted to having 'unquestioning obedience' from their followers.
They will get that no where else. There will always be some such followers.
Organized book, not so up to date about Special Pioneers.
Special pioneers: 10:11, 14, 17-18
Still encouraging "special pioneering" after recent announcements for them to go back to "Regular Pioneer." Not many are 'special' anymore. Unless they're good at construction for Warwick only.
there has been many threads from various posters around the world about recent bethel layoffs.. so far i remember threads about:.
south africa.
united states.
for those old enough to remember, the last days of soviet rule in eastern europe were astonishing.
you had this unchanging entity that controlled all aspects of people lives for decades.
then came the unraveling.
I don't follow news too much, but the days that the Berlin Wall were getting torn down, I was glued to the news.
I am following this WT upheaval quite a bit too. It's a frenzy! Watch at 2:@:27
i know quite a few youths (late teens to early twenties) who have the goal of full time service, as bethelites or international construction, so they're doing the required slog of pioneering in order to achieve this goal.
this is a goal which has been excitedly set out for them the last few years or so at assemblies etc.
now they see the cuts, surely they are going to be discouraged and disillusioned.
