Brooklyn Bethel Tours Through The Roof
by freemindfade inwas speaking with someone last night who just recently toured the us bethel's.
the brooklyn tour i heard was awful, very limited and disappointing and conducted by a local pioneer and not even a bethelite.
well from what they are telling the folks on the tour since the tm3 bit encouraging (guilting) people about going to disneyland on vacation when you haven't visited bethel, monthly tours went from 6000 to 16000!

Kingdom Consolidation and Sales are coming – Reliable Source
by thedepressedsoul ini heard form a reliable source that a kingdom hall consolidation is going to be happening in the us.
currently they are looking at every kingdom hall to see if they could and should sell it.
any kingdom hall that has not been updated and is in a bad location (long driveway, not in a visible location etc...) will be sold.

I just checked "Yellow Pages" for Arizona. Kingdom Hall listings ( It didn't show double entries for multiple congs.). Showed 142 Kingdom Halls and one Assembly Hall. According to jw.org there's about 200 congs. in Arizona (for English & Spanish - about (very approximately), 10 or more for 'small' group congs. of other langs.) So that would be about 1.4 congs. per KH.
I checked all other U.S. states, through "Yellow Pages" and got 8,255 listings of KHs. I think could be close. That would put 1.7 congs per KH.

by James Jack ina older sister in miami florida has told me that the special pioneer couple who got their walking papers last week said they are also voting members of the watchtower society.
also his stock share is valued at $800,000!.
i did some research and spoke to some longtime witnesses and found out that there are 500 voting members of the society and they are also called shareholders.. has anyone ever of someone selling his share?.

I, too, have heard (decades ago) some shareholders were not even JWs. was perplexed then and still am. Why would anyone be a shareholder, not a member of the organization (or any other such business, religion, etc.) and have no monetary interest, or any other interest in such organization??? Why would they bother?! Just where is this list? -

"Only Baptized Ones have Unrestricted Privilege of Prayer"
by BluesBrother ini was sitting at the recent circuit assembly that i attended, (the things i do for sis blues) and the baptism talk was under way .
i admit that my mind was more on my imminent packed lunch and flask of coffee but i distinctly heard the speaker make the statement that heads this thread and cite a wt reference.. you what !
i was shocked....... how can they possibly make such an arrogant statement ?

I just read Bo Juel's book, "The Least of God's Priorities." He did well writing about his JW youth with so much family disfunction (step-father and grandfather) and compounded with sexual abuse from elder. Amazing he came through it and a lot of his processes. He only felt all those years he had to be silent, as a youth and even as an adult. Now he is "pro-active" about the exposure of the Watchtower abuse policy toward youth.
It takes a lot of survivor development to leave the WT world when raised JW and compounded when there's been sexual abuse too. I recommend the book. I have read most personal books of former JWs. We all have a true story. Some will write.
